Definitely a must if you enjoy board games and coffee. Staff is really nice, their menu has a decent selection and their board games selection is very large.

I visited for a community league event, and loved it -- great selection and friendly stuff, lots of big tables, etc. HOWEVER I will NEVER go there regularly because they charge you by the hour?!? What if I'm enjoying time with my friends playing a board game? If there are four of you playing a new strategy game for two hours (which could easily happen), that's $36 that you could go spend on the game -- just saying. In all the cities I've lived in and board game cafes I've visited, I've never had to worry I'm enjoying my game too much.

I like this place. I have never stayed to play games, but have been in twice for a hot drink and to check out the board games for purchase. This last time I was in with my son and husband, we were looking for some family games. The 2 guys working there this past Saturday were very helpful and had quite a few suggestions. We bought 2 of the games they suggested and a hot chocolate. We've already played both games and found them to be quite fun!

This was the worst place and service I have ever experience in my life. Your staff were very mean, loud and condescending. Why are you guys forcing customers to pay a mandatory 18% tip for 8 or more people on games if we’re not ordering food? Tips are given by generosity based on the services that was provided. If u give us bad service, we should still give u 18% of our money? What a joke lol. Y’all need to rehire new staff because those ones are not in the right (customer service) industry. The Asian guy had very sluggish attitude as if he doesn’t want to be there. The white tall guy was condescending and rude about a stupid chair and the White short manager was so loud, class-less and obnoxious as if he was trying to embarrass us in front of others. NEVER recommending to anyone and never going again

Went out on Saturday evening to celebrate a friend's birthday. Called ahead to ensure they would be able to seat about 8 to 10 people. They said it's no problem and that they will push two tables together. Got there and they gave us seating that could barely seat 6. Server seemed very down and unexcited to be there. He explained the rules and the cost in the most monotoned voice, gave us two thumbs up and walked away before we could say anything.
We pulled up two chairs extra to seat our extra friends and squeezed them in. After about 15 minutes in, a tall guy came up to us, and told us we couldn't sit there because he needs more room in the hallway and you know what, it's fine because I get it but he said it in the most condescending tone he could, I didn't even know if he actually works there. (No one was wearing name tags) 3 of our friends left to go stand in the front because where else were they going to sit? (So far we're at 9 people). Then Monotone Guy came back and informed us that there will be a mondatory 18% tip added to the food for groups 8 or more so I told him, there are only 6 people because 3 people cannot be seated. And that, we aren't even going to order food anyways because our friends won't be able to eat with us. He said, well the Mandatory tip will be applied to the $4.50/person for the game then. I told him, I am not tipping on it and I shouldn't be forced especially since service is very lackluster. Right away he was like "I'll get the manager" and instead of this "Manager" coming over to de-escalate the issues, he came over and very LOUDLY announced that we have tip the Mandatory 18% for groups regardless and speaking so loudly as if he was trying to embarrassed us into agreeing to it. This tipping culture is really getting out of hand. If you give people good service, your customers will happily part with their money. If you have to Mandatory charge your patrons gratuity/tip then maybe there's something internal happening that should be address, maybe take a customer service class and train better employees. I cannot recalled the last time I've visited a place in the hospitality industry and had such a horrendous service and I didn't appreciate the drive down memory lane. Safe to say, I will not be back and I will not be recommending people to visit your establishment. We were excited and willing to spend money here and you absolutely ruined someone's birthday where she would always remember "that time when she had bad customer service on her birthday" so if you guys were hoping to be remembered as the worst board game place to visit in Edmonton, you have succeeded the title in 10 people's mind.

Never been to a board game cafe that charged by the hour before!! A little bit much! Plus they are pretty insistent about ordering something off the menu. The server was actually a little rude about it. We hadn't planned to go here and just came from dinner, also don't drink alcohol. Not really interested in paying $4.50 for a 355ml Perrier. We had walked a few blocks to get here so we stayed for one short game and then left since we didn't feel welcome. I won't be going back.

Air conditioning was amazing on such a hot day.

My son and I enjoyed our snacks and played multiple different games.

Staff was super nice and polite.

We just wished there had been a bigger selection of snacks and a little less expensive. The price of jellybeans was silly high.

It was busy with only one person working. It took them over 30 mins to get nachos to us. And the game selection although okay I have been to better places with a better selection on games.
I would go back but I would not get food there.

Fun board game place to hang out with friends. Foods decent and service is great. Staff were helpful whenever we needed assistance with more food/drinks or how certain board games are played.
