Great experience at their small Xmas party event. Great service, delicious prime rib, and amazing Dueling Pianos.

Very welcoming environment. Staff and management were professional and accommodating, fulfilling our every request during a very busy lunch time Christmas turkey buffet. The buffet was continuously replenished and the food was hot and delicious. We were seated by the fireplace during a cold wintery day. The ambience was warm and inviting. Our server, Rhonda K, was engaging and treated us like special guests.
Service was great at first but dropped off as the evening went on. Food was not up to par for the Mill, wings overdone, escargot too salty. No door prizes or special promotions as advertised, free drink was it.
Went to the Christmas lunch buffet, food was ok, nothing I would go back for. Dessert was not included in the buffet.
I have had the Sunday Brunch at the Sawmill several times. The food is great, well priced, and Steve the server is awesome
I called the day of our reservation to make them aware that we would be celebrating two anniversaries, a 50th and ad 47th and that I had hoped that we would be given some special consideration to help make our evening memorable. Quite the opposite happened. We were given the closest table to the door. No complementary dessert was offered. The waiter never acknowledged the occasion. Disappointing.
Our experience was amazing! We were on the Mill craft side. Hockey game playing and was good feel. We had prime rib meal and it was fantastic! Cut was great, cooked to perfection. Yorkshire and Au Jus were very tasty. I always have great meals at Sawmill! Highly recommend!
We come regularly to the Sawmill for the atmosphere, service and fabulous food. Another great prime rib and filet mignon meal with great service from Steve. We will be back.
The best sunday brunch in Edmomton. These folks really know how do do a buffet. Great selection of breakfast and lunch options, huge dessert selection and impeccable service.
Went for Sunday brunch. 60+ price is $28.99, a good deal for the selection they offer. Eggs benny, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes as well as various lunch items, a roast beef carving station and several desserts. The sticky toffee pudding is excellent and my fav! The breakfast items need to be hotter, they were almost cold. Make a reservation if you go! 4 stars for food cause the breakfast items were not hot.

Restaurantji Recommends
Our server was fantastic, the ambiance was nice, I have been going to this restaurant since it opened in the 70's, sadly the boasted marbled bone in ribeye was dry and not what i would call prime meat, the king crab was not up to par at all not at all worth the cost, I had taken a long break from the Sawmill and sadly overall it disappointed but sadly all the places that were once the best have disappointed lately, a sign of the times and i guess the younger generation doesnt know any better and how alberta beef and Alaska King crab should be, again hats off to the server ;)
The steak sandwich was great but sadly the fish and chips were over cooked and tasted like a frozen piece of fish. Removed all the batter off and ate only the fish. From looking around our section, it looked like the Fish and Chips was the only “dud” on the menu. We will try The Mill again but do not recommend the fish at all.
Food was outstanding, my steak was cooked perfectly! The Key Lime Pie cheesecake was delicious.
We went to the Thanksgiving dinner buffet. Some of the food was pretty good, although it was a little disorganized with people bumping into each other when trying to get dessert, as other patrons were behind them at the buffet and restaurant staff were trying to walk in between both sets of people while carrying large trays.
Our household ***loves*** stuffing at Thanksgiving, so we were disappointed upon arrival not to see any, and we arrived very early when this dinner buffet started. We initially saw a few soggy bread cubes mixed in with turkey juices at the bottom of an almost-empty turkey tray, but this still didn't improve when the newly filled turkey/stuffing tray was brought out to the buffet (more on that in #4 below).
Our waitress was very attentive! All staff that we observed were very professional.
Feedback for The Mill regarding this Thanksgiving dinner buffet:
...(1)......Please consider losing the lasagna and seafood dishes in favour of having more Thanksgiving-related dishes (Stuffing!!). Both the lasagna and seafood were smothered in tomato sauce, which sharply conflicted with the taste of the other buffet dishes. The seafood could have been in a cream sauce, and sometimes traditional lasagna comes with a white sauce. How about combining them into a creamy seafood lasagna dish, so as not to conflict with the rest of the Thanksgiving feast? And then add a proper stuffing dish (okay, one of our household keeps repeating this - that's enough, get away from my keyboard!).
...(2)......The mashed potatoes were cool, but not quite cold. Having said that, we noticed they had a nice garlic flavouring to them which was appreciated.
...(3)......When replacing food at the buffet (especially the signature dish - turkey), please bring out the new food, have another employee on hand to remove the old tray, and immediately place the new tray into the buffet. We were almost at the end of the buffet just about to get turkey, when it was taken away. We stood there, as did everyone else in an ever-increasing longer line, waiting for 5 minutes for turkey to be brought out. Some people gave up and went to sit back down with cool food, turkey-less ... and meat-less, as at the same time this was happening, the sole employee at a nearby meat cutting station (ham, roast beef) had also stepped away for a few minutes, which is understandable for humane reasons but unfortunate timing.
...(4)......When the new turkey was eventually added back to the buffet, bread cubes (meant to be stuffing) were in the centre in between the white meat and dark meat. Both the bread cubes and the dark meat were overdone, to the point of bread cubes being burnt black, rock hard, and inedible (picture). The dark meat was like beef jerky it was so overdone. I tried to cut into the dark meat and bread cubes without much success as even the sharp knife couldn't cut through what I had to leave on my plate. I chomped down a few rock hard bread cubes refusing to be defeated, otherwise, I would have left more untouched food on my plate (hate to see it go to waste, but had to give up). My dinner companions had even more bread cubes left on their plates (fist-sized pile) as these were too rock hard and inedible. Disappointing for Thanksgiving stuffing lovers! The white meat was fine, as was the roast beef from the nearby cutting station.
...(5)......The vegetables (green beans/carrots combo) were delicious. One patron missed corn, as there were only a couple of short corn cobs cut into this combo dish.
...(6)......Towards the end of our meal, it felt like a restaurant door had been left open as a cold draft was hitting people at our table. We weren't near the doors, nor out in the open but against a wall, but as most of us were done eating and some were eating with their coats on, this hastened our departure from the restaurant.

We attended the Thanksgiving buffet and, unfortunately, the overall food experience was disappointing. The Caesar salad and spring mix salad with goat cheese were both soggy. The mixed vegetables had nice flavor, but they were cold and very limited in quantity. The basa in tomato sauce wasn't to our taste, but that's more of a personal preference. There was also a meat lasagna, roast turkey with stuffing, roast beef, and ham. The turkey and stuffing were the biggest letdowns — both times we went up, there were only a few small pieces of turkey left and no stuffing at all. The gravy and cranberry sauce were fine. The beef was flavorful but tough, and the ham was fine. My daughter noticed someone with corn on the cob, but when she went up to look, there wasn't any. We eventually realized there were just a few small pieces mixed into the vegetable medley. The dessert squares were average and nothing memorable. Overall, we expected more variety and better availability of food at a holiday buffet — especially turkey and stuffing. On a positive note, the server was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the atmosphere was pleasant, but the food fell short for the occasion and price. we would've been more satisfied if we ordered off the menu.
