My son works here so I'm predisposed to leave favourable comments. I can sum-up in one word - familiar. Next Act is an excellence example of a good, solid, dependable restaurant on Whyte. The food is not challenging. There is no exotic Iberian ham, no polenta made with lobster and the essence of rain. It is GOOD food whi h is familiar. The booths are a touch tight (at least for a mid-50s mid section) but that's minor. The restaurant was clean. Didn't use the washroom so can't comment on that. I liked it and the next rime I'm down there, I'll likely stop in... Buy only if the kid is working.
ADDENDUM: Changed my rating to four stars because familiar and accessible are difficult to do well and Next Act does it well. Bon apetit

They've been making great burgers for years. Hard to beat. Unique and crowd pleasing options as well. An authentic burger! I ordered the spinach dip and it was well presented for delivery, very good.

Went here prior to a show. Started off they being told the rules of the house. A bit odd but ok. The waiter was not around after the order. Suggested that it was a bit cold when we walked in and told it is what it is. The next waiter comes by says geez it's cold in here let's see what I can do. Food was mid. Cozy, vibrant place but will not be back

Have gone here so many times and never had a bad meal. The potato skins with the onion dip is amazing, the burgers are the bomb and the salads are great. 10/10 will continue to come here.

After years of infallible food experiences at Next Act, it seems that they have met their match in Captain High Liner. The fish in their fish & chips is easily the least tasty I’ve ever had. I would have given ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️, but really—how do you fugg up fish & chips? ??♂️
Always excellent service. Personable staff, awesome GF availabilities, always a Whyte favourite. One thing we've grown to accept is the coziness of the restaurant but they make do with what the have with space and demand
