Ramen was excellent!

I tried to go there 2 times but it's too crowded. So this time I go since they opened at 11 am and don't need to wait.
People keep coming and full quite quickly.

They come to get the order and the food is served in a decent time.

I like a yuzu shio Ramen. It's light and fresh soup for me. The Tokyo Tonkotsu ramen is a bit salty if you don't like the intense one.

They are plenty of free parking outside.

No reservations and need to come after the full party member to get the table.

Been here many times over the years since the shop first opened and each subsequent visit has become more and more disappointing. It was amazing when it first opened. Good quality ramen, great service, friendly atmosphere. Now it's lukewarm, overly salty soup, service whose aim is to get you in and out as quickly as possible and cramped seating guarded by an entranceway blocked by long lines and a waiting list. Not to mention they still don't take credit cards? I understand a small mom&pop shop wanting to skip out on transaction fees, but for a restaurant this busy and surviving rent in this square for so long? It's just an inconvenience to come here. Now I expect a lineup, weird open hours, robotic service, ok ramen and having to bring cash or debit. With so many up and coming ramen options opening up in the city (Menya Mori being a 5 min drive away), I no longer have a good enough reason to come here.

My favourite Ramen spot, the soup is so good everytime, the rice bowls are so good too. Highly recommend eating here at least once, im here every other week it's so good. Expect lineup on weekends and holidays, just goes to show how amazing the menu is!

The wait time was too long (over half an hour), which raised our expectations, but overall, it was quite disappointing. The food came out quickly—we spent less time eating than waiting in line. The ramen was overly salty, and after eating it, all we wanted was to drink lots of water to relieve the greasiness. Other than that, there was no distinctive flavor.

My advice: if there's a long queue, just walk away.

staff: friendly.

service: greeted quickly - was not seated though until my full party arrived. Which wasn’t cool. I got there early to get a table given lunch rush. Many people went ahead of me. Luckily a table cleared when my other group members arrived. Once orders were taken - food came out at a decent time.

establishment: small & cozy with only a few tables. Lots of parking outside.

food: pleasantly surprised. I had tried ramen once before and was turned off. I tried this place and was pleasantly surprised with the flavour and texture. The Gyozas were nicely crisped.

I just discovered this place this year and the ramen is fantastic. We got lucky - no wait on our last visit! Although the wait time is worth it ;)

My favourite place to get ramen. Get there early, once they’re out of soup, they close.

Amazing ramen. Broth is superb but the noodles leave something to be desired. Try the vinegar with ginseng. It's a nice sweet and sour. It works well to help cut the creaminess of the broth.

Edit 6 years later (1* removed): Still one of my go to spots for ramen in Edmonton with a bustling crowd and lively atmosphere.
Overall: Superb value!
The Good: Broth is always fresh, rich, and flavourful.
The Bad: The noodles are still lacking in terms of texture and how well they hold up against the broth. I still would recommend using the Ginseng Vinegar to help with the lacking acid in the noodles.

Always wanted to try this place and thank god I just arrived in perfect timing and only had to wait 10-15 mins. The line up got much longer right after I arrived. I ordered the spicy Gomma ramen with pork charshu. And my friend ordered the black ramen. They were both very delicious and one of the best ramen place in edmonton. Definitely highly recommended. They only serve limited bowl of soup. There were many times they sold out.

Good food. Had the Tokyo tonkotsu. Maybe the place is a bit overhyped
