Lately I’ve been craving ramen and tried quite a few places—this one is my favorite! The broth is rich and flavorful, the price is very reasonable, $17 for a filling bowl. Both the owner and staff are super friendly. It’s a popular spot so there’s often a wait, but the turnover is quick and it’s absolutely worth it. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommending it.

Always a delight and always accommodating. As some one with a food allergy I feel safe eating here.

I love the taste of the soup. They have a different approach on the Black Ramen and the gyoza. They elevate the way on how they made and present. I finished the whole bowl and even from my wife's bowl as well. I will be going back to try and taste other ramen. 👍

First time trying this place and I will definitely be back! I got the black garlic ramen and the broth was flavorful and the noodles were perfect. The restaurant was packed - but the wait time was quick and the service was fast.

Good ramen spot, but the to-go situation is absolutely ridiculous. I went with my boyfriend and between the two of us, we ordered two large bowls of ramen and a rice bowl. I don’t eat a lot, so I wanted to take my ramen home, and he wanted to take half the rice bowl. When I asked for two to-go containers, they refused and said they could only give me one.

I’m already paying for one anyway, so what’s the issue with giving me another that I’d also be paying for? Not to mention, I’m giving you business by ordering multiple dishes but you can’t even provide a to-go container? LOL.

The food is good, but that policy is unreasonable and leaves a bad impression.

We've always walked around this plaza and also passed by Tokiwa Ramen. Most times it's always been closed, even in the early afternoon. This time we made it a point to come in time before everything was sold out.

When we arrived, we got seated very quickly. The inside was designed very minimal, simple, and clean.

My boyfriend ordered the Yuzu Shio Ramen and I ordered the Hokkaido Miso Ramen. We both added chicken to our dishes as well. Both of our ramen were good. I liked the citrus notes in the Yuzu Shio, it was a very light broth. For me, the Hokkaido Miso Ramen was more of my style. I liked the creamy broth. It was robust, I like the umami and savory flavors. All of the veggies tasted fresh. The green onions and the mushrooms were my favorite. And the noodle consistency was just how I liked it to be. Chewy, not too soft or overcooked. Of course the miso ramen had 3 types of miso bases so it would be salty, it was just a tad saltier than I would've liked. But it didn't take away from the whole dish, I still liked what I ordered. All in all, we had a good experience.

Also they only take debit or cash. I didn't realize that until later so when I was trying to pay, of course it wouldn't take my credit card at all. So yeah that's one thing to keep in mind.

Obviously Tokiwa Ramen is known for their ramen, but I was also surprised to see rice bowls on their menu too. If I ever get the chance again, I would definitely love to try their Tokiwa Style Beef Gyudon.

Deep, savory broths with refined toppings. The kind of ramen that makes you stop talking and just eat. Service is quick, and the setup is clean and stylish.

The ramen here was very good! There were a bunch of different options and of course the broth in the ramen is probably the best part. They do only expect debit or cash so consider that before coming here. But i definitely would recommend this place!

We were a group of 9 and 6 of us were already there. They said the table for 6 was available.. I asked if we can sit and start ordering instead of standing outside the scorching sun. They refused because the remaining 3 weren't there yet. I told them the 3 can just sit on a different table.. they asked us to wait and suddenly a tall guy came out and started saying that we couldn't sit even if the tables are available.. told us to wait for the three people (when I made it clear that they're okay to sit on a diff table) he was rude and literally lecturing us. Like seriously? What’s the pt of asking your customers to wait outside when the tables are ready and no others customers are on line too? We wouldn't just sit there and waste your time. We wanted to eat!! That night, one of our friends tried their food. BLAND AND COLD. c’mon do a better job. We ended up eating in Nandos and it was such a blessing in disguise! Thanks for asking us to wait outside, if you have let us in, we could have eaten a bland cold ramen too! We ate a wonderful peri peri lunch!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Just not that good? I’m not sure why people hype it up and think it’s really good. The broth is warm, not hot. It had no flavour, only salty. Service wasn’t very good either, wouldn’t let us sit until everyone was there even tho they were literally just parking??

Good quality and tasting ramen in Edmonton is something I didn't know existed the 4 years I was studying in university there. I don't know how new Tokiwa is but their ramen is definitely tasty and I believe they close after selling out their broth for the day. We did line up for a long time on a Friday during the day (I think we waited almost 40 minutes) but totally worth the wait, and definitely not the longest wait I've ever had to get seated at a restaurant. The ratio of toppings to noodles is quite good and their menu has many options of ramen to choose from, and they all taste quite different from each other. I tried a ramen that had yuzu in the broth (because the word yuzu just gets me every time) and impressively, you can taste the light and gentle fragrance of the yuzu in the broth! I was very pleased.
