I stopped here to pick up lunch before work and I found multiple hairs in my food, it was already too late to bring it back as it was hours later and I was working out of the city. This is completely unacceptable, ESPECIALLY during a pandemic and I will choose to not eat at a Tokyo Express ever again for this reason. This was at the 10371 78ave location, it's amusing this company is advertised as healthy, because consuming strangers hair is DEFINITELY a health risk!!

This is my favorite fast food sushi place. Its close by and easy to order. Food quality is always good and the staff are akways friendly. Their veggie sushi combo and the teriyaki chicken rice bowl have an iron grip on me.

I took my husband and daughter remembering how good this was years ago! WOW was I wrong! 79$ for a kids meal, a rice bowl, a bento box and 8 pieces of sushi! The skin on the chicken made it in edible. And the rest of the bowl was just dry rice and over pickled veggies like they had been sitting. My daughter’s beef and rice with no veggies had huge chunks of onions and the meet was dry and tasted old. She only ate some rice and is not a picky kid. And the bento box was just disappointing on portion size, the flavour was also bland, dry and so unexciting for the price! On top of all this we all got out dishes 10mins apart. Not one other customer during dinner hour on a Friday downtown! I will never go back and be sure to tell my friends! So disappointing because I remember this being amazing and a healthy choice 10yrs ago.

After over 3 hour medical appointment, stopping in here before home to Leduc was the perfect meal, pan fried beef and daughter had half and half pke bowl.. drinks Summer specials-all quenched our thirst and hunger..thank you so much and this was during a serious cold spell.🙏☺️

came to Tokyo express expecting a grand old sushi meal came out with a box full of sushi, but that’s about it. staff was super nice and it was a great experience eating there. It’s just not busy and it kind of lessen the experience.
We dropped in for lunch and it did not disappoint. The rep working behind the counter was particularly nice and helpful. He explained the sushi and lunch specials available. I liked my bento box choice but I did find the noodles a tiny bit salty and the veggies, especially the broccoli a bit overcooked. Not mushy or anything like that, I like my veggies less steamed.
The glasses available for water had fingerprints so we were given new ones. The table tops were clean and apart from a stack of boxes by the back door everything looked clean and organized.
When we arrived the place was empty then within 10 minutes it was suddenly buzzing full of customers dropping in to pick up their food orders. We chose to dine in and it was very enjoyable.
This Tokyo Express has been in this location for many years. I don’t know if it has always been under the same ownership/management, we enjoyed both the food and service.
Vegetarian options: There is some vegetarian options available.
Parking: It is a small parking lot shared between 3-4 businesses.
Kid-friendliness: It is an open space sitting concept inside. Plenty of room for parents to sit alongside a stroller while enjoying delicious food.
Wheelchair accessibility: Ample room to navigate a wheelchair inside.

I ordered the chicken rice bowl with extra meat and extra vegatables. The chicken was warm but the rice was barely warm at all. The worst part was the vegatables, freezing cold straight out of the fridge. My entire meal was super cold because of it. The worst skip the dishes meal I've ever had in years. I discourage anyone from buying from Tokyo Express. I called the manager and he told me that all the vegatables come straight out of the fridge into your bowl. We DO NOT HEAT IT UP and NO REFUND!!
