Found this gem on Whyte and wow! The staff is amazing and the food…delicious. The servings you get of ramen are massive. I highly recommend this place. Thank you.

We came here with my boyfriend for dinner and ordered ramens - “The One”. It looked very appetizing, but the taste was honestly terrible. The broth and noodles were just okay, but the smell of the wooden spoon and the meat was extremely unpleasant, it completely ruined the meal. We couldn’t finish it and left hungry, even though we paid full price. No one even asked why we were leaving so quickly. Very disappointing experience.

We visited Tokyo Noodle Shop yesterday after a friend recommended it. Our two families — five adults and three children — ordered our meals and ate together. Honestly, the food wasn’t bad, but it didn’t feel much different from what you can find at T&T, especially the sushi. Everyone at the table agreed that we expected something more unique.

What really disappointed us, however, was the mandatory 15% tip added to our bill. When we asked why, we were told it was because our table had eight people. This policy wasn’t mentioned anywhere — not by the staff when we sat down, and not on the menu or at the entrance.

I usually tip whenever I go out, but this was the first time I’ve been required to pay a tip without being informed beforehand, and it left us quite uncomfortable. I wanted to share this experience so others can be aware — if you’re going as two families or a larger group, make sure to ask about the mandatory tip policy in advance.

First off most important fact to get it out of the way, this is NOT AUTHENTIC JAPANESE SHOP, THIS IS A CHINESE IMITATION SHOP. THEY USE ODD RAMEN RECIPES. Original Review: They start ignoring your allergy request after awhile, had to throw my order straight from my door to the garbage bin. I've been eating here for couple years now. their ramen tastes great, when they don't stuff em with odd toppings I'm allergic to. Instead of corn and buk choy and menma being the standard, they make you pay for those toppings and substituting 3 toppings is really expensive lol almost 30 bucks to have the correct recipe, anyway, instead of the correct toppings they opt for celery carrots and bean sprouts?? 🤢 which may be fine to others but as an east asian that is also a authentic Japanese ramen enthusiast, this whole shop is just odd and weird to me and I happen to be allergic to their ramen, so to me it's disgusting and a bit hazardous. it's literally a Chinese copy of Japanese ramen. There is nothing Tokyo about this except for the shop interior atmosphere, and tempura.

which is why I no longer order from here, I pick up my daily fix of ramen from Hanako Sushi now. first of all Hanako is authentic Japanese shop, they top your ramen with standard topping of corn, menma, buk choy, green onions, and couple more which is vastly superior to ramen in this shop and the toppings are free and included of course, as all standard ramen should. all them toppings and you pay less than 20 bucks for. nice. Anyone reading looking for good ramen, I recommend trying Hanako's trio of Miso, Tonkotsu, Shoyu Ramen they are superb AND REAL RAMEN.

if you cannot tell apart between Korean Japanese Chinese, and you really don't care of authenticity, as long as it LOOKS and FEELS asian, this shop is for you.

This is a great place to chill and enjoy your meal and time. The service is excellent and the vibe is one I like. Some beautiful girls seated behind me just made it nice.

I ordered a large order from this restaurant through Uber eats. I had to cancel the order, but when I spoke to uber eats they wouldn’t be able to give me a refund. So I called the restaurant back saying I would like to pick up the order, but they refused to make the order anymore - even though they had been paid by uber eats for the order and were compensated. That’s truly terrible service - I called two or three times and they continued to refuse the order. They basically stole money from me.
