First time there. The atmosphere is great, my sonoved the music playing. The food was good. I do find it pricey, only because I lived in Chicago and you get chips and salsa free and get alot more for your buck.My chicken tacos were really good. The chips were exceptional!! Best chips I've had in a while. The little potatoes were delicious!!.I will definitely go bk.

Honestly I'm a bit disgusted with this. We were invited to eat there many times as we are very close with the Mexican community and I am very disappointed on this. The fact that they couldn't even apologize for the infestation and blame it as racism and targeting isn't ok. The fact that they knew about this issues and never did anything is sad and disgusting. Yes they might reopen but I'll never step a foot in there and will never recommend this place to anyone.

BUGS , KITCHEN/FLOOR/BATHROOM FILTH It makes me feel phantom nausea knowing I ate there weeks before the shutdown by AHS. The three friends that started this several years ago must be taking all of their money and vacationing down in Mexico and not paying attention to what's going on in their little Taqueria that grew and grew to be one of Edmonton's favorites. I'm especially disturbed by the news story that the owner said the infestation comes from within the building and that he's addressing it. Really? What about your standards of the bathrooms, prep counters, vent fans, grills, dishwashers, floors? Total lack of accountability. That is 100% avoiding the fact that they have filthy equipment and floors and furniture within the restaurant... They weren't cleaning the stove and vent fans etc. that the floors were dirty, that the bathrooms were filthy... they didn't take the time to do deep cleans on the fixtures within the restaurant... There's only so much that can be blamed if there is a pest infestation within an entire building and you were part of the lease of that building. Shame on Daniel Braun for deflecting. You have to take responsibility for the fact that your establishment is a filthy dump. You need to take a look at who you've hired as your kitchen staff and what kind of standards they have. I'm disappointed that he didn't have a better more apologetic news bite. I think this might be the end for them... barring some miracle or an 180° apologetic response.

The food was grossly overpriced ($20 for tiny tacos?) and the owners were drunkenly annoying customers.

They were forced closed due to health violations. Disappointed as I did go there about 3 months ago and enjoyed it. The violations are very concerning (pest infestations and build of of "filth" on equipment and unsafe utensil storage). More concerning to me has been the owners respone. He is blocking or deleting any negative comments, and claiming all of the violations were "outside" of their control. Seems to imply it is the building and not the restaurant. Not sure how it's out of his control to not have filth build up on his own equipment, improper utensil storage, or traps FULL of live, dead, and various stages of cockroaches. Also, the AHS reports go back to 2021. They have been issued warnings for over a year. And they take no responsibility. I won't go back ever again, based on their response I wouldn't trust them to honestly do anything.

AVOID! This place was literally shut down by AHS on October 31st for how disgusting the kitchen is. DO NOT EAT HERE.

Located adjacent to Rogers Place, this restaurant is excellent. A welcoming staff, well prepared dishes and a great atmosphere. We had the nacho chips with the three dips (superb). My husband the assada tacos and I had the chicken tacos. Both were very tasty. Great margaritas too! A limited menu but a well executed one.

The service was amazing, our server was attentive and kind. The building is loud inside from the music (louder than normal), I felt like I had to yell a bit to talk. We tried a few things and everything tasted pretty good. I'd say this is rather westernized mexican food so if you're looking for more authentic flavors and presentation, I'd try a different place. The overall vibe and service was nice and certainly a place I would try again. Great restaurant to go for drinks with a friend or celebrate a birthday. They also play some Sports channels on the TVs along the bar wall. The bathroom was very clean as well.Kid-friendliness: During my stay I saw other guests with a toddler and the couple beside me had their baby. Nobody was irritated with the fact there were children around; however, the music inside is quite loud.Parking: South common, lots of free parking lots.Wheelchair accessibility: The building is wheelchair accessible, the tables can easily seat someone in a wheelchair (on the patio as well) and all building doors you'd need to access as a guest have the buttons for auto open- even for the restrooms.

We found Tres Carnales by accident when staying downtown and we’re intrigued, so went for supper. I have not had tacos like this, ever! Soft, supple corn tortillas, well seasoned Al Pastor and Pollo fillings with amazing salsas, all topped with fresh cilantro, radish, onion and plenty of lime. The recommended beer, Lupita Especial is made for Tres Carnales, and only served on site. Wonderful food, awesome service and funky decor with shared seating; what could be better? Not much!

I wouldn’t get any more authentic food if I dined in Mexico. This place knocked my socks off for Mexican cuisine! The shrimp or fish taco, loaded fries. It’s all just, Amazing! Highly recommend

Tasty tacos with really good sauces. The Al Pastor was flavourful and not dry at all. The double layer of taco shell helped contain what would've otherwise been a messy situation. The tacos are small but you get 4 of them in 1 order. The dining area was also pretty cozy and decorated colorfully.

best tacos in town! authentic taste. you order first, then grab a seat and food is brought to your table. it can get busy to find tables during peak time. awesome there is option of indoor eating or patio. Finding parking is trickier b/c it's downtown. close to transit/LRT. washroom was clean. the tacos' sauce was a bit messy so I had to wash my hands it's a fun atmosphere with nice vibes/music and other patrons.

a co-worker of mine recommended Tres Carnales Taqueria. I found the food average and overpriced with somewhat small portions. the place has charm and ambiance it just didn't deliver.

The restaurant itself is beautiful. The artwork and decoration, the seating area. Really great vibes. I only had the fish tacos which were great. Every order comes with 4 tacos except for the fish tacos. Sadly you can't mix and match. Price wise, it's fair for the quality of the ingredients. Recommend you try it 100% I'll be back to try a torta or burrito. / update I tried the burrito and it wasn't as good as I was expecting, very saucy and soggy.
