Foods were really good and a clean washroom! Appreciated their service too.

This is difficult as Tropika had been our favorite restaurant for over 10 years, we had booked a Mothers day reservation for May 10th at 730pm we arrived early and there was a line up from the counter to the door, we were then told it would be at least half an hour but they would give us a call, they never did call and we found a thai restaurant on whyte ave that was ok. Why were they taking reservations if they were also going to take walk ins. The food is usually superb. We were very disappointed with all of it and the fact they never reached out to explain or apologize

Best spot in Edmonton for Malaysian cuisine!

Ordered three items the roti and Singapore noodles were both really good, flavorful and satisfying. Unfortunately, the fried rice with basil was a letdown it lacked flavor and didn’t have much taste at all. Service was okay, nothing special but not bad either.

The roti, tom yum soup and green beans was good.
But the pineapple fried rice was a disappointment.
Service was friendly.

Just ordered take out from them. Specifically asked for cutlery as we are not at a home and don’t have utensils (hence why we ordered takeout) and they didn’t include it!!!! Biggest pet peeve!!!!!! It clearly says ADD CUTLERY on the receipt. Now we ordered all this food that we CANT even eat because our car is currently out for service and no restaurants or stores near us. You had ONE job guys. What are we going to do with all of this now?! Eat with our hands?! Jeezus.

Love this place ! Recommend a try. Staff are very nice food can get a bit pricey but it’s large portions

My wife and I are no foreigners to asian cuisine but the Malaysian food from Tropika really sets itself apart from Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Cantonese, Filipino, etc.

All of the dishes are very attractive and use a lot of colors. We tried 3 dishes that we were completely unfamiliar with (a fish, a pork, and a noodle), and we were pleasantly surprised by all of them! Portions were quite reasonable for the price, and the flavors were very distinct. We'll definitely return to try other menu items.

Food was awesome. We read a lot.of the reviews and asked family from south east Asia that had been. Not disappointed. We had the Singapore Laksa, Sambal fried noodles, pineapple fried rice, roti, 2 satay skewers, and the Sayur Lemak hot pot (AMAZING!!!). Service was super friendly and food came quick. They were fairly busy and lots of skip orders. When the restaurant is filled with 70 percent with people from S.E. Asia is always a good sign. We were stuffed and took 3 containers home. For 3 of us it came to $ 105 including a thai beer. Plus tip. We definitely over ordered and could have skipped ordering at least one or two things and we would have still been full.
Highly recommend. Sorry forgot to take pics

Ordered delivery - got the roti canai, rendang lembu, and the char kuey teow. Very surprised when I enjoyed every bite from every dish. Highly recommend and will be coming back/ordering from here again.
