Probably the best restaurant in Edmonton. Order the tasting menu as you'll receive 6 dishes you .ay not order on your own and a dessert. Every dish was delicious, service was knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing.
Uccelino had delicious food and good service. My only complaint is that everytime I reserve a table on OpenTable, I get placed in a bad spot in the restaurant. I always book a month in advance and I end up beside the kitchen, bathroom or hostess/waitress prep area. Not sure why this is happening.
Food was good but not exceptional. The Arancini were over cooked, the outside very hard but the inside was creamy with lovely flavour. My friend had the scallops which she said she enjoyed and especially liked the roasted cauliflower. I had the agniolotti which were nice and light, unfortunately the fresh peas were not cooked and were hard and starchy so I picked them out. Had they been cooked and sweet I think they would have been great addition. The chocolate dessert, if you love rich dark chocolate this is the dessert for you! We shared it and we couldn't finish it as it is extremely rich.
Uccelino's is always our go-to for restaurants in Edmonton. It is consistently top quality and delicious. I took my best friend for her birthday dinner and she couldn't believe how amazing it was! I highly recommend the goat ricotta crustini (it is like eating a creamy cloud), and the panzanella is so underrated! The basil gnocchi and the paccheri are amazing as well! For dessert you MUST get the chocolate budino, it will literally change your life. If you have a group of friends that love delicious food, the tasting menu is a great way to try a variety of their amazing dishes and it is well worth the price.
Our server Denise was excellent and the support staff were equally as good. Food was very good and came out hot. Noise level in the restaurant however was somewhat excessive and made it difficult to carry on a conversation.
Service was great and attentive, food was incredible. Tried the tasting menu and it was well worth the value. Took very good care of the nut allergy we had at the table. Thanks for an amazing experience!
We tried most of the appetizers and pasta on the menu. Food was good, though smaller portion sizes. Wouldn't reorder most of them again.
The exceptions and must trys are the beef carpaccio appetizer and the paccheri pasta dish. Would dine in again for those dishes

Truly my favorite Italian restaurant to ever exist. It rivals the best in major cities around the world and it is bittersweet to see it move to its new space.

Food was great and service was great. Worth the price paid. Only criticism is their cocktail menu is very dry and alcohol forward, which I know appeals to many, but there’s not a single item on it for someone who enjoys a more fruity or sweeter cocktail. Thankfully they had a feature cocktail of a Peach Bellini, and the fact that literally EVERY TABLE I saw had someone drinking one (many tables had multiple) this is something their customers would enjoy. Add something sweet and fruity to your cocktail menu please!
Whipped ricotta changed me

I think that if you are in the city and you are able to go here then you have to. You have to try Uccellino. There is nothing bad on the menu, I mean that. You could eat anything and have an incredible experience: all of their food is thoughtful, well presented, and beyond delicious. I went for dinner with my partner and we had incredible food the entire time, from their goat ricotta to the tagliatelle to their brick chicken, everything is incredible. The beef carpaccio is one of the best things that I have ever eaten. I am not a critic, you don't have to listen to me, but: it is one of the best things I have ever eaten.
The restaurant is beautiful, elegant, and, somehow, still retains kindness and comfort; it feels just as easy to go out to Uccellino for a cocktail with friends as it is to go for an intimate dinner. Just make your reservation early! It is a busy spot, understandably so: once you come you will think about going back and you will think about it often.
This is some of the best food you can have in Edmonton, it is some of the best you can have in general, and it is brought to you by lovely staff and a brilliant, bustling kitchen. Love it here, and we will be coming back. Thank you, Uccellino!
