If I could give over 5 starts I absolutely would! Beautiful atmosphere. The food is so fresh, delicious and amazingly executed! Our server was I believe an owner or manager and she was incredible. So friendly, kind, attentive and positive! Will definitely be recommending to anyone who wants to try some actual authentic Italian cuisine and will definitely be returning!

We had a wonderful experience here a year ago, but this time it was completely disappointing.
The restaurant was cold, the portions were extremely small, and the prices were unreasonably high for the quality and quantity of food. The service was inattentive and unprofessional.
It’s very sad to see such a decline. Unfortunately, we would not recommend this place anymore.

I am extremely disappointed with the Valentine’s Day menu at Vaticano. The portions were ridiculously small — you could barely feed a sparrow, let alone a grown person. On top of that, the food was bland and honestly not tasty at all. Considering the very high prices, the quality and quantity were completely unacceptable. For such a special occasion, I expected much better standards. My advice to the owner would be to seriously reconsider the menu planning, improve portion sizes, focus on food quality, and work on creating a more welcoming and romantic atmosphere. Valentine’s Day should feel special, not like a waste of money. I would strongly recommend avoiding Vaticano, especially for special occasions.

We ordered pick up. The carbonara was the best I've ever had! The mushroom risotto portion size was much smaller than other dishes at the same/similar price. The prices were different when viewing online vs when ordering online, so we paid an extra $6 we didn't expect.
Edit: I've eaten here again since the original review and the food was delicious yet again. Our server seemed to hate that we were eating there, though, and we didn't get refills or checked on, despite the restaurant being half empty. When it came time to pay, the server seemed so irritated to be taking our money that we were all confused. Not the best service, but delicious food.

Food was overpriced and bland, waiters weren’t nice at all.
Very disappointing experience. We arrived and there was no one at the entrance; we had to ask the kitchen staff if the restaurant was open. A waiter saw us waiting and ignored us for several minutes before finally seating us, barely greeting us and dropping the menus without a word. If they were about to close, they should have said so instead of being rude. Poor customer service. We won’t be coming back.

We had a lovely dinner at Vaticano Cucina recently. The food was absolutely delicious and authentic, and the service was excellent - the staff were attentive and made us feel very welcome throughout the evening. However, our experience was unfortunately marred by a dangerous situation upon leaving. There is a small step at the exit that is nearly impossible to see in the dark. Because it wasn't clearly marked or lit, my daughter who has a disability, tripped and had a very bad fall. She hit her knee extremely hard and was lucky not to have broken her leg. It was a very distressing end to our night. I strongly urge the management to install better lighting or a warning strip on that step to prevent this from happening to anyone else, especially guests with mobility challenges
