Tried their pastries last week and they were stale and price is wayy tooo high for a small piece and it tasted like garbage. very disappointed experience!
They increased prices to a way that now Danish and pretzel are overpriced. They sold me pretzel as they were from the same day and they were old.

I ordered a blackforest cake for 26 people for my 75th birthday party with my family. It was fabulous! When I went to pick it up I bought some cream puffs and mini sachertorte. It was like going back on time to my childhood when my mom used to take me to the Vienna Bakery on Stony Plain Road and 151 street. The same delectable treats were there on display, so I couldn't resist. I took my cake to the restaurant. The waitress at the restaurant said it was the most beautiful cake she had ever seen and It was so fresh & tasty. She was really grateful to receive a piece.

Have enjoyed their products for decades, whether buying for personal consumption or in larger volumes for parties/celebrations.
Never disappointed.
Pretzels (my favourite) are beautifully browned with gorgeously soft centres and just the right amount of salt. (Try them with butter! It’s what I imagine heaven is like.) I used to buy a couple dozen once a month to take to work; never had anyone there turn down a Vienna Bakery pretzel! (And it put me in their good books for a while! LOL!)
The pastries are delicious. They are just sweet enough to enhance their delicate flavours; not overly sweetened like so many other bakeries do.
The breads are richly flavourful and robust with a lovely texture. I don’t eat much bread but when I do, it’s from Vienna Bakery.
I have also ordered many cakes (slab and round) and pastries for family celebrations. My mom’s 85th was a hit, with so many positive comments about the baked goods.
The only problem I have when I go there is that they don’t put a leash and muzzle on me! I need to be controlled!!!!
Thank you, Vienna Bakery! Thank you for staying true to the European style of baking. Thank you for having a lovely variety of goods. And thank you especially for the amazing, true-to-the-motherland pretzels!!!!

The sourdough is hearty and flavourful, while the pretzels have that perfect balance of chewy inside and crisp crust. Staff are welcoming and efficient, making every visit feel like stepping into a warm community kitchen. Pastries like the apple strudel are pure comfort—authentic, generous, and unforgettable. I love to go every Saturday.

I would give 0 star if there is one. Such a waste of money and very disappointed with their baked products. Bought a stale brownie and eclairs which tastes like crap! I will never come back and would not recommend this bakery. There are other good bakeries in the city that’s worth the drive and money. We end up throwing it in the garbage because it was really awful. Such a waste!

The packaged items I bought tasted and smelled like the cling wrap they were covered with, and the fruit fillings are from a can so yucky. Premium pricing for a poor grocery store prodect.

This bakery was so good that I would bark for the owners. This level of expertise does not come with experience but talent. The goods were flawless. Genuinely an otherworldly experience. Would come again only problem is my pants are a mess, Clean up isle my pants😂🙏.

Vienna Bakery is a hidden gem in Edmonton. I was completely blown away by their amazing kulchas - incredibly soft, flavorful, and fresh. You can really taste the care and quality in everything they make.

When I go to an Indian restaurant I want the owners and cooks to be Indian. When I go to a German / Austrian bakery I would think the owners would be German. The owners of this bakery are from India. The workers are from Phillippines, Romania.
That’s fine…If they’re trained in German culinary skills.
The bakery seems to be functional but I’m not sure about the quality.
I came when they opened at exactly 8:00 AM. I ordered the mohnkuchen at $5 for a small piece. It was stale.
So I’m giving a 1 star.
Maybe I’ll try again in the future

We come to Vienna Bakery for all of our family's cakes throughout the year. We always enjoy the baking as well as the service. Their cream horns and cream croissants are amazing, and so are their pretzels. Highly recommended despite their location. They aren't hard to find, but you need to go around the backs of other business's to get there.
