We expected to eat at the location on 178 St but found the doors locked and a sign redirecting customers to their 182St location on Saturdays and Sundays. The location was a few minutes drive away located in a strip mall in the La Perle neighborhood. The draw to try this restaurant was their large vegan menu, which included a vegan dessert of deep fried bananas. We ordered summer rolls, Shanghai noodles, tofu in satay sauce, vermicelli bowl and tofu with pineapple. The food was underwhelming. The vermicelli bowl was a big bowl of noodles without sufficient sauce, topped with spring rolls and lettuce. The summer rolls also contained a large quantity of noodles but at least they had a generous portion of dipping sauce. The Shanghai noodles were mildly flavoured, to put it politely, and the tofu satay was not the creamy peanut satay we were expecting. There were bottles of sriracha and hoisin on the tables so I can only assume you were supposed to use those to add flavour yourself. We couldn’t try the banana dessert was not available. We are unlikely to bother going there again.
Order the beef ball pho and spring roll. It was great.

Heard about this place from a neighbor and decided to try it. The food was good, and server was friendly. It's a small place, kind of a hidden gem. I didn't know this place existed for 6 years. I'll definitely return to try the other offerings on their menu.

Lots of vegan and vegetarian friendly options. The lemongrass tofu vermicelli Bowl West delicious. The cashier won't wok fry dish had a really nice flavor, but it was very liquidy. The Green Onion cakes add grape flavor but I think they were a little undercooked I frequently order from here and it's always a good option for both omnivores and vegetarians / vegans

Amazing Vietnamese cuisine. Authentic with a cozy environment and outstanding service. Highly recommend if you enjoy Vietnamese food. Will be back soon.
The sauté is devine!
Oh and you have to try the green onion cake, not for the cake itself but for the amazing dipping sauce it comes with. The only place I’ve been to with that particular sauce. AAA+

Got my order wrong but wouldn't listen to me, just walked away and then ignored us - we were the only people in the restaurant for an hour. Food was below average.

The $12 pho signs around the west side made us curious about this place. I’m typically picky about the pho restaurants I go to because I’ve been disappointed when I stray from my favourite restaurants but
I’m glad we checked Vietnam Kitchen out. The bowl of pho was large and so filling. It also came out piping hot which is amazing. There’s nothing better than hot hot hot soup in -23 weather.
It was $3 extra for 2 spring rolls and a pop. The spring rolls were also delicious
So my partner and I only paid $30 for the both of us. What incredible value in this economy. We will be back to try other things.

This hidden gem was found by luck one day when my fiance's regular place was closed for renovations. What luck it was! This is now our second visit and everything from the housemade signature sauce with the green onion cake to the special pho is amazing! You can taste the freshness in the ingredients and the passion in the food. Cute little family run space with kids in the back makes it feel like my small hometown restaurants.
