Viphalay Laos & Thai Restaurant

I was the only person there as they just opened. I was seated outside, given a menu, waited and waited. Eventually I just got up and left as I was running out of time. Went across the street and now I’m really rushed to eat my lunch. I guess they forgot about me. That’s quite odd since I was the only customer there.

Delicious food - some of the best Thai I’ve had in a LONG time. Generous portions, full of flavor, and really easy to work around food allergies. Can’t wait to be back.

Been a couple years since we’ve visited due to winters away. Something has changed? No wine, limited beer (no domestic) and sketchy service. Seems they’ve lost the plot. The food was okay but not what it was. Time to move on. Our little secret is now just another dive. Looking forward to the journey of finding a new spot. Where’s my old Doans :) Don’t go to Viphalay Laos & Thai Restaurant it’s now a 3/10.

I tried the drunken noodles with beef. It's really tasty although it's oily. The noodles is savory. It's my favorite. And I also tried the friday special which is spicy basil chicken with coconut rice. It's really good as well.

Whenever I am craving Thai food this is the only place we should consider. We always go with our friends, we’ve tried some others that are closer to where we live but always end up back here. I don’t know her name, tall slender Asian lady who is always there. She is usually our waitress and she takes very good care of us. Tonight she bought us a beautiful little treat at the end. Kind people - there seems to be a shortage of them in this world and she is genuinely kind, great server. And the food … oh my gosh, the best. I won’t need to eat u til tomorrow night, the best!! Thank you, see you again!!

We get takeaway sometimes but mostly we eat at the restaurant. Either way it comes out super fresh and delicious. Best Tom Yum soup on earth! Also try the red wine shrimp. Just do it already.

Just undeniably the whim strikes for their curry's, oft time. Grest quality and a very quaint setting. Great atmosphere and a stones throw from edge of river valley -> solid place for a nice date.
