First off, I’ll admit I love sushi, so this review is definitely coming from a biased place. That being said, Washoku Bistro was a great experience overall. I wouldn’t personally say it was a 5 out of 5, but I’m still giving it a five-star review because it was truly good and worth visiting.

The service was great—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The food was fresh and well-prepared, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality you get. The atmosphere was another highlight: low lighting made it feel warm and cozy, but there was also some nice natural light coming in, which gave it a welcoming and comfortable vibe.

We ordered a few different dishes. The sashimi was excellent—fresh and full of flavor. I would definitely recommend getting the 10-piece though. We ordered the 5-piece, and I was a little sad having to split it with my sister... although that might just be a sibling sharing issue, LOL. The tempura was cooked perfectly, crispy without being greasy. My sister, who likes more basic rolls, went for the dynamite roll and loved it. I chose the rainbow roll, and it didn’t disappoint—fresh, colorful, and tasty.

That said, while everything was good, nothing really stood out as unforgettable. You know when a meal has that special something—that je ne sais quoi—that makes it truly memorable? This didn’t quite have it. It was solid, enjoyable sushi, and I left satisfied, but without that extra wow factor.

Overall, I'm glad I went and would definitely recommend Washoku Bistro if you're looking for a reliable, welcoming sushi spot with great food and great service.

We didn't eat in, so can't comment on the service. But the sushi rolls were very fresh and tasty! Will be back to try more

My friend and I decided to find a place that was nearby the wedding dress store, and we stumbled upon this place. I'm glad we tried this place out as it had a gluten free menu! The food was delicious and I was so happy they were able to steam my shrimp for me in my sushi roll. I loved the little soy sauce pots as they looked like little tea pots. I would definitely come back here to try some more food on the menu! The only downfall was parking, but they apparently have more in the back, you just don't know that until you walk up to the door.

I’m a vegetarian and I didn’t think I’d like sushi but this place changed my mind. I absolutely loved the flavours of the different sushis, corn cheese melt and wasabi.

Service was great! They have unlimited complementary miso soup, which was sooo good! Ordered yakisoba udon for my BF, and the ultimate curry rice for myself. The servings were big and the flavors great!

Thanks Skip for giving me a credit and discovering this place! so can't vouch for service or atmosphere.

The tako wasabi salad had so much tako (octopus), it was crazy. And the Firecracker roll is out of this world :)

Will definitely be ordering from them again!
