Going to the Whistling Kettle Cafe is like stepping into a time capsule, where no nonsense eateries ruled the land.

They make great food at affordable prices. Staff were quick and excellent. Judging by the lack of empty tables I can see why it's a staple amongst locals in the northeast. Worth a visit.

Old school, greasy spoon breakfast joint! I’ve only ever had their breakfast here and it’s your typical truck stop bacon, eggs, omelettes, pancakes, hashbrown food. The service is good and fast, food is sometimes a bit greasy and the joint has been the same for years! I always stop by this place whenever I’m in the area for breakfast!

If you're looking for the vintage, diner experience this is it.

I, personally, like espresso cafe, the smell of grinding coffee and heart shapes in my foam. This is not that place

But a friend was with me and it was her treat. Good value. 2 coffees and 2 bowls of soup with change from $20

Great basic breakfast! Lots of specials on the board, and we found it especially nice with a full a la carte menu at good prices. My husband and I were met at the table by a waitress with a coffee pot, and when I asked for tea, it very quickly appeared. This is just a simple diner inside, but the buttermilk pancakes are the best!

If I could give no stars I would, this was the worst breakfast I've had. The food all tasted like dirty fry oil, not to mention hair in multiple dishes. Came with two little kids and asked for extra napkins and was given two. Don't waste your money or your taste buds.

I love this place, but they dont wipe the tables well, they are sticky and gross. The salt and pepper shakers are disgusting. Foods great but the environment is extremely dirty and if they cant wipe the tables down properly, how dirty is the kitchen. I drive 20 minutes to this place and spend 20+ $ and i get the dirtiest table in the city. Thats how good the food is. I will return for great breakfast in a week and if the tables are clean i will give 5 stars.
