I ordered my wedding cake a few months prior to my wedding. I was talking with Lynne through their portal. I provided a picture for reference and requested a custom cake, because it was a custom design. I wanted the rosette cake in white with small red roses and little green leaves. Lynne asked me to just order the rosette cake on the website and the design would be what I wanted. I placed my order and put in the comments box the modifications as Lynne instructed. She then said it an email through their portal "I will have to check with the owner if we can add the green leaves, that price was just for the white cake with little red roses. Ee will have to charge extra". At this point I was upset since I did request a custom cake, I'm not trying to pay for this cake multiple times and have to go back and forth about it. I was planning everything else for my wedding which can be stressful. Either way, I tried to be patient and waited for Lynne's response. She took a couple weeks to get back to me and only responded after I said "if it can't be done just refund me and I will pick a different pre-made cake off the website". They decided to charge me another $30 to add leaves. OK whatever, I said thats fine. No apology for the miscommunication or anything. At this point Lynne was not being nice or polite. Just point blank and obviously frustrated with me. This is a $350 dollar cake, I don’t think its unreasonable that I am frustrated with her poor customer service. Its her job to help me get the custom cake I originally requested. There was no congrats on my wedding, there was no kind greetings upon pick up, nothing. Just made sure they got the extra 30 dollars. I put the cake in the fridge the morning I picked it up because we wouldn't be having it until later that same evening. We took it out 2 hrs before the cake cutting so it wouldn't be cold. Can you tell me why the buttercream fell apart when we cut it? This stuff literally fell all over the floor, my dress, everywhere. we got no instructions on how to store it until later in the evening either. The cake itself was chocolate and it didnt taste like anything really. It was kind of dry and eggy. The buttercream was not very flavorful either, it tasted like whipped cream with no sweetness. Not even a little hint of anything but cream (all my guests complained about how gross it was). The filling in between the layers of cake was oreo, but that was also pretty bland. I dont know if whomever prepared by cake just didnt care, but I was so disappointed. We ended up throwing it out because no one wanted to eat it. Total waste of $350 dollars. It was a good thing I got a huge pastry tray of desserts from the Italian Center so I could still serve desserts (which was actually so good!). Poor customer service, horrible cake especially for the price, and I would never recommend them. All my guests were excited because of the reputation you're supposed to have. This company did not care about making this cake a part of my special day, they just cared about getting paid.
Poor customer service. They just there to bake. There is just something about this place - we somehow always find ourselves coming back to pick up the mini cakes for small celebrations but always regret how unwelcoming and rude the place is. Not a hello or smile; mentioned we were stoppping in to pick up a treat for our daughter’s birthday (who was with me) - zero acknowledgement. Zero smiles. Just a, “what can I get you,” box it up, stare at me while I pay so she can determine whether a tip gets me acknowledgement.
Contrast: By daughter’s request we went down 99 to Little Duchess in Ritchie. No mention of my daughter’s birthday but let her pick another small cake. Rep immediately asked if it was her birthday and wished her a happy birthday.
Tip: Skip Wild Rose Cakes, drive to Duchess.

We love cakes (and treats) from Wild Rose cakes. They are timely and accommodating and every time I’ve purchased anything for an event, it’s turned out beautifully. They are BEAUTIFUL and, better yet, so delicious. Highly recommend Wild Rose if you need a cake or dessert for an event. You won’t regret it! (My photos aren’t great but like…how stunning?!)

We ordered our wedding cake and cupcakes from here and they were amazing! They looked incredible and we got so many comments from guests about how great they tasted. Ordering online was also super easy and there were no hiccups with pickup. The leftovers also froze very well!

Their cake is the most delicious i have had. Buttercream is so rich and is not overly sweet which makes it perfect.Wish they open a location in Calgary.

I would highly recommend Wild Rose Cakes to anyone planning a wedding! They were easy to communicate with, and their response time was excellent throughout the entire process. They created the most beautifully decorated cake for our special day, perfectly matching our wedding theme. Not only did it look stunning, but it also tasted amazing. We chose the lavender lemon blueberry flavour, and it did not disappoint- light and delicious!

We had our wedding cupcakes & cake from Wild Rose. Our Best Man was getting married a few months after us, after trying our wedding cupcakes him and his fiancé changed their minds on the bakery they had chosen for their wedding cake and switched to Wild Rose too. I've decided that every birthday cake will be Wild Rose too. I had my 30th birthday cake from there, and it was delicious. The icing it's not icing, it's buttery, creamy and not too sweet. The Earl grey blackberry is incredible, same with the cookies & cream. But honestly you can't go wrong, the chocolate caramel & the red velvet is also 10/10. Everything is so beautiful, but tastes so good. I dream about the cakes here.
