“Cute hole in the wall south of Whyte. Great atmosphere, amazing sharable small plates (get the Tartar), and a good selection of wines by the glass. The owner curates an excellent selection of rotating wine options, including a few special bottles available by the glass that weren't on the menu. Also, my girlfriend is celiac and they were perfect at accommodating her allergy. Great gluten free options.

“First time here and definitely won't be my last. Had a girl dinner here. We had to get the agnolotti, we even had two orders. Everything was so delicious. The focaccia bread with the honey truffle, so amazing. Our server Christine went above and beyond and helped us with the menu. Normand Campbell and his team always have an outstanding menu and fantastic service. Its great that they have a corkage fee so you can bring your own bottle of your favourite wine.“

Arguably one of the best spots in the city, this venue offers incredible small bites, expertly crafted cocktails, and service that’s truly top-notch. The ambiance is intimate and moody, yet perfectly lit—elegant without being stuffy, and exudes a cozy, chic, and effortlessly stylish vibe.

The small plates are flavorful and thoughtfully prepared. While the prices may seem steep at first glance, the quality and value are undeniable. This was my fourth visit, each time with a different guest, and I’ll happily keep coming back time and time again.“

“My husband and I came here for date night and ordered the Beef combo for 2, and wow! I don’t remember the last time we had to pack up so much food (and we both have healthy appetites). Everything was so yummy, service was good and attentive, and it was a fun experience. Food was fresh, tasty, and generous amount. Really good variety. Even as full as we were, we didn’t feel icky as one sometimes does after overindulging.“

We had Houli cheese wrapped with ehh plant and the wagyu meatballs for appetizers, the main course we both had the braised short rib pasta, delicious! Baklava for dessert which we took home so we could try the Marscapone cheesecake with chocolate ganache. Excellent choice! Service was excellent and a great wine selection as well“

“Went to Oil Lamp for the first time and decided on lunch on a Saturday. The place was empty at 1:15 PM but that was not too surprising since it was a later lunch time and also the weekend. The server was also the owner and was very friendly and helpful. This is an old school place and has been around for 18 years - the decor hasn’t changed but I liked that.

The lunch specials that we ordered were around $18 each, which was very reasonable as they all came with two sides each. We had the beef gyro and roasted lamb - both were delicious. They also have Greek Mythos bottled beer, which is tasty and something I never tried. The owner was very accommodating of our one year old child and brought a high chair out for us and was very forgiving of the mess that was made below it.

This place is wonderful and we will definitely be back!
