“Once again, outstanding. We've dined here many times but for some reason last night was the exact combination of perfection. It was medium busy, we got a great table in the corner. The lighting and music were fantastic. We ordered quite a bit of food and everything came out in a timely manner. Service/staff were above and beyond. Each dish was that kinda good where you cant speak, because you're distracted by the flavors. I'd have to say one of the top 5 dining experiences I've ever had.“

“We recentley celebrated our wedding anniversary here. Normands has been our go to special occassion restraunt for years. Normand Campbell and his team always have an outstanding menu and fantastic service. Its great that they have a corkage fee so you can bring your own bottle of your favourite wine.“

Arguably one of the best spots in the city, this venue offers incredible small bites, expertly crafted cocktails, and service that’s truly top-notch. The ambiance is intimate and moody, yet perfectly lit—elegant without being stuffy, and exudes a cozy, chic, and effortlessly stylish vibe.

The small plates are flavorful and thoughtfully prepared. While the prices may seem steep at first glance, the quality and value are undeniable. This was my fourth visit, each time with a different guest, and I’ll happily keep coming back time and time again.“

“We went here before our concert at the Winspear Center. The Oil Lamp is run by the cutest elderly couple. The food is amazing, and the place has its charm. Nice selection of wines and beers to complement your food. We had the Chicken Souvlaki and the Beef Gyro. The chicken was moist and perfectly done, packed with flavor. The owner also gave us complimentary Hummus and Tatziki dip along with fresh pita as our starters. Definitely recommend it, and we will definitely be back. Gotta try some more of those amazing dishes. Oh, they are also very reasonably priced.“

“We were a table of 6, and showed up with out reserving. We were accommodated right away but told that we lucked out and that we should ensure to reserve next time. We had chicken and waffles, the house burger, classic breakfast and shakshuka (among other dishes) and everyone loved their meal. We had intended to have ice cream at Made By Markus, but we were so full we decided to skip it. Will definitely be back!“

“Hubby and I went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary, food was great! A unique experience, well worth that Surf & Turf AYCE for $38. On top of that, our drinks were on the house, and an extra oyster shot with the owner himself! Will definitely be back and will recommend to our friends! 🩷“
