Well worth a visit. Large portions, immaculately clean. The free tea for dining in was actually quite good.

The buns were bland.

The shrimp dumpling were good. Sticky rice was good. It is expensive IMO but it is better than the other bakeries that I have tried.I got frozen sticky rice and I will just buy the sticky rice frozen in the future.
My son's pickup order was too expensive.

Absolutely fantastic dim sum, easily the best I’ve had in Edmonton. What really surprised me is how much it reminded me of the hawker stalls in Singapore: no frills, humble setting, but seriously impressive food.

We ordered the char siu cheung fun, beef chow fun, char siu bao, xiao long bao, siu mai, and har gow and every single dish was spot-on. The rice rolls were smooth and delicate, filled with flavorful BBQ pork and served in a light soy sauce that didn’t overpower. The beef chow fun had that perfect wok hei smoky, savoury, and not greasy which is hard to find done properly.

The char siu bao were soft and fluffy with a generous amount of filling. The xiao long bao were juicy and well-wrapped, with a rich broth that didn’t leak out or collapse. The siu mai and har gow were both excellent too, plump, fresh, and balanced. You could taste the quality in every bite.

It’s a simple place with counter service, casual vibe, but that just makes it more authentic. The portions are generous, the pricing is very fair, and most importantly, the food speaks for itself. If you’re after true, well-made dim sum in Edmonton, Xing Wang Bakery is a hidden gem worth going out of your way for. I’ll definitely be back.

Hidden gem Chinese Bakery.
You can also dine in, the food portions are good, and the price is reasonable.
Road work outside in the neighborhood should be done soon.

People talk a lot of their dim sum, which is not bad but also not out of the park good. I enjoyed their chicken feet - they were giant size and they give you a lot! They are also very flavorful. The rice rolls were meh and the steamed lotus leaf wrapped rice was cold in the middle :/. the crunch top bbq pork buns are DELICIOUS when they are fresh out of the oven but loses it charm when it cools.

The real star is the fried noodles. I've had the singapore fried noodles and the wet stir fried beef noodles with the thick rice noodles. they were both so good. Probably the best I've had in Edmonton. Haven't tried the fried rice yet but I often see people around us ordering it and it is a heaping serving. Noodle portions are large as well.
