Tried this place during chinatown dining week for their specials, the #1 pho + rare beef salad & the #2 pho + springrolls + banh bot loc.

The appetizers outshone the pho honestly, they were all great. Especially the rare beef salad, perfectly sweet & tangy! The pho wasn't anything special, I found that I had to add extra chili oil for the pho sate as it lacked spice & depth.

Amazing fresh high quality cuisine! We love pho spots in Edm but this place is amazing. Wish we found sooner. The tapioca dumplings are a must! Pho broths so good. Friendly great service! Large portions great prices. Go here.

I was in search of real traditional Vietnamese food and not a generic pho/vermicelli establishment. This was probably one of the best meals I have had in while. Everything I had was excellent and the price point is so reasonable.

1. Egg and fried rice cake - rice cakes were nice and crispy with savory egg with the perfect dipping sauce

2. Tapioca dumplings - chewy wrapper filled with pork and surprisingly juicy shrimp, with fish sauce to dip. At 9.95. steal of a deal

3. Xu hue special- for years I've been wondering what this was. It almost has what taste like a crispy and chewy exterior with a hint of coconut flavor with a filling reminiscent of a spring roll but with a whole piece of shrimp. - I would come back just for this.

4. Clam noodle- on the more authentic side. Clams, noodles, with vegetables, tied together with a spicy ferment shrimp sauce, which is definitely my jam.

The service was also notable. The server was so welcoming and kind. She made excellent suggestions and ensured we had everything we needed.

Yes, the area isn't great but it is what it is. I wasn't bothered by anyone nor have I been in the past. I appreciate a good meal and I will without a doubt be back.

Awesome family owned Vietnamese restaurant. Owner is super friendly and other family members work in the kitchen. Tapioca dumplings (banh bot loc) are handmade, chewy and delicious. Kids love the rare beef salad, pho and spring rolls. Prices are affordable and portions are large. Special hidden gem in Chinatown!

Their banh bot loc is amazing. The owner is also very friendly. The decoration is honestly a bit out dated, it’s giving “back in the day” vietnamese restaurant vibe. It’s not a big problem though, highly recommend

Love noodle soups and this was next on the list to try. Reviews are accurate that the pho broth is a bit different. Beefy but clean and tasty. I also had the Bun Bo Hue which was very good. Tried the Banh Loc and Rare Beef Salad which I would definitely order again. Just wish I tried it earlier as this place has been in Chinatown forever.

“We had the Vietnamese pancake, pork tapioca, pho dac biet, and duck salad with vermicelli soup. First, I want to mention that I’m not thirsty afterward—there’s literally zero MSG in their food. The pancake is crispy with a subtle hint of coconut flavor in the batter. It’s filled with a generous amount of sprouts, shrimp, and assorted meats. The pork tapioca is very plump, with a decent amount of meat inside. The pho dac biet came with a generous serving of high-quality meat, and the noodles tasted fresh, not the dehydrated kind. Lastly, the duck meat (blanched) salad with vermicelli soup was also excellent—tons of duck meat, and the gingery sauce that accompanied it paired perfectly with the salad.

The location is typical for Chinatown, but the restaurant itself is well-maintained. Overall, this is an excellent spot, and I’ll definitely be back to try more items

Came in for Chinatown dining week. Had the pho with tapioca dumplings and spring rolls plus an iced coffee.

The broth was very light but beefy. The beef rare and really tender. The dumplings and spring rolls were my favourite though.
