Love this place so much. Very cozy little spot. Went here for the first time when the hot pot next door was way too busy and was pleasantly surprised. Still hoping to try some of their more speciality bowls like the duck pho I’ve heard about!

I like its diverse menu. Many options to choose from. However, 'Bun Mam' would be better if they make it in a more authentic way. This is originally a very tasty dish, but they just mix up all toppings for other dish to make this soup. Except the broth tastes a bit like 'Bun Mam', other toppings are nothing like for 'Bun Mam'.They should change its name to not confuse diner.

I have often had Vietnamese food but this place introduced me to some wonderful new dishes! On the recommendation of some of the other reviews here I tried the deep fried rice cakes on egg and the duck salad with noodle soup. Both dishes were scrumptious! The super crisp and crunchy rice cakes paired well with the silky egg underneath and the sweet and slightly salty sauce (I added a little hot sauce too). The duck and cabbage came with a sweet lemongrass sauce that was really nice. I'll definitely be back!

It was Chinatown dining week and I wanted to support the participating restaurants. Xu Hue had 3 different choices for $20. that looked promising. The owner is friendly and the restaurant is cozy with an impressive fish tank of beautiful fish. Unfortunately we found the rare beef pho was so bland and had no pho bone flavor. The vegetable spring rolls were also lacking flavour and the dipping sauce just tasted like water with a dash of fish sauce, vinegar and sugar. The steamed pork and shrimp dumplings were very chewy but again the filling lacked flavor which is too bad because not many vietnamese restaurant make these dumplings. The rare beef salad was the only dish that was seasoned. We were quite disappointed with the meal and most likely will not return.

I had an exceptional experience at Xu Hue recently. The tapioca dumplings and beef salad were rich in authentic flavors, and despite the banh canh soup being lighter, it still provided a delightful experience. This restaurant's dedication to authenticity and delicious flavors is undoubtedly a cornerstone of the Chinatown food scene.

Came here during chinatown dining week. We got to try their tapioca dumplings (filled with shrimp+pork) which as chewy and delicious! Their homemade spring Rolls and their rare beef salad. It wasn't too tangy so it was a nice balance. The combo came with the rare beef pho which was a nice way to end the meal. The soup was a bit heavy on sodium but tea washed it down. The owner said he would extend the combos indefinitely!

Very good meal before catching an Oilers game at Roger's Place. We wach had the special which was pho with spring rolls and shrimp dumplings for $20. The food was great and the owner was very friendly. We had a good chat. He even brought us plates, forks, and a knife so we could serve the birthday cake we brought with us. We'll be back again.

Awesome, authentic Vietnam restaurant. Family run with dad serving food, wife cooking, daughter making dumplings. Hand made Tapico dumplings stuffed with pork and shrimp are very amazing and different textured from the chinese ones. Fresh and hot spring rolls and Pho. My picky vietnamese family was full and very impressed. Cool aquarium with lots of big koi fish. Nice bathrooms.
