I have been going to Zaika since it opened and have introduced it to many people. Today I met a friend there at 11:00 AM. We both checked the website for the opening time which said 11:00 AM and it said 11:00 AM on the window too. Unfortunately, the door was locked. I tried to call and there was no answer. Finally, at 11:30 the doors opened. We were told that the time is wrong on both the website and the window, but it was correct on google. If we didn’t love coming to Zaika we would have just left and found another restaurant. I hope this can be corrected.

They charged 25$ service charge which is applicable for more than 7 people gathering. We were 4 adults, 2 kids around 9 years old and 2 infants who can't even eat anything there but they counted all of them and charged service fees 25$. I don't agree with them counting infants in the group but they argued that everybody gets counted irrespective of the age. This is simply not acceptable.Food is also very oily and bread/Naan availability in buffet is very slow. Samosas are poor quality with big boils on the crust. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone as there are many other great options available in Edmonton.

I recently tried the chili gobi, Chana masala and Amritsari Fish, it was absolutely delicious! The flavors were perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of spice. The service was also exceptional; the staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Overall, a fantastic dining experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and excellent service."

Had a lovely experience. We had the dinner buffet for three and left stuffed and satisfied. Highly recommend this restaurant. The quality and service have remained high. Even on a Thursday night, the dining room was packed!
Had a nice experience. Went with the buffet. The buffet was quick, hot and fresh. I really enjoyed the butter chicken and the Chana masala.I think I would like to order off the menu next time so I can try other menu items. The staff were friendly and helpful and did not rush us at all.

Very disappointed. Firstly, service was so slow. No one came for good 5-10 mins to hand over the menu. Then portions were so small in comparison to the price they are charging. And on top of that our curry had 2 long hair in it. Although they offer to have free beverage after we had our food. But nothing was compensated at the bill. In fact, their curry comes with rice and naan, which we opted to have 2 garlic naans instead of rice. And in the bill, they charged 4 dollars extra for that. So, if you dont want to get ripped off, please do not go there.

I hadn't been to zaika for a very long time. I used to get the buffet if eating in the establishment. This time I got take out. I am very disappointed at the food and manager Jody who looks like lied about e transferring the money back to me. I explained I was on that side of town I live on the opposite and got take out. The eggplant dish was $18. It was waaaay over salted and bitter. Called they said the could give a credit I explained if I was driving and paying 15$ in gas to please provide something extra. I had bought that item to eat with the Byriani i got from there. The manager Jody said no when I explained I was far away she said she would email transfer the money. Before the offer of email transfer she offered delivery I said great they could deliver a new one and i could send the bitter salty one back something she initially offered since she said they have to get the bad product back to check.she then took back that offer. She was arguing when i explained my critisism and wouldn't be surprised if she answers with hostility. Not a good look for an establishment. She kept denying the food was salty which is fine but being hostile to critisism and not being genuine defeats the purpose of customer service and care. I have to say although the manager was not nice to deal with, the other staff there was great when I went in, kind and considerate the one great item was the Naan. In this day and age spending so much on an item that's turns out to be inedible is very hard to deal with financially, and one feels taken advantage off since nothing was done to rectify the situation. What can I say i am out the food cause I have to throw it and the money. They have left me in a helpless situation since i cant make them stand by their word nor can i afford to go there just for one item.P.S the reason I can't afford to go back for one item only is because my take out comes from my grocery budget and I usually will eat such items all week as planned meals hence...Plz note I wasn't the only person in the reviews who said the manager was rude when they had an issue.

This place is a gem in the city. The food is cooked to perfection with a blend of amazing flavours and the perfect amount of spice that you ask for (A-La-Carte). The service is absolutely fabulous, the waitress Christy really cares about the customers and if their needs are met and on top of that, she is really friendly and kind. If you ever are craving Indian food, come over to Zaika and you will be impressed.
