Zambelli's - Edmonton

Food was horrible. Burger was dry and the meat lasagna had no taste. Restaurant needs a big cleaning.

Ordered take-out today (Halloween) so I am in a pajamas costume. They said 15-20 minutes which is fine, gave them 30 minutes before I went inside so that I can just be in/out given I am in my pajamas for Halloween. She told me it would be another few minutes so I sat waiting and it ended up being more like 10 minutes in which the whole time the owner was looking at me like he didn’t want me there, I’m assuming because I was in pajamas.

I see him bring up a box of the take-out so I go to grab it and he angrily tells me it is not my order and asks what I ordered even though he was the one who took my order over the phone. I replied to him my order which was everything in that box. Thankfully the VERY NICE waitress came and told him yes it is my order. I grab the box and he literally shoo’s me out the door telling me to go and I have my order.

This man is so rude, for no reason. I frequent here often and this one experience doesn’t make me want to go back.

Have to say that food is ok and price ok. Find it a little expensive. But what really bothers me is the service. Especially from host. He is rude and mean. I will not go back , because the host treated my husband badly. And honestly he will not care about the reviews that are posted in here.

Absolute disappointment. Ordered the Prime Rib, the dish they're supposed to be known for, it came in a plate with vegetables flooded with a sauce that tasted like soya sauce, fries were just crappy prepackaged frozen fries. My wife had the New York strip, it was full of gristle, and a side of dry mashed potatoes. Even our children's pasta didn't look that great. We will never be going back. Extremely expensive for terrible food. Not impressed.

This place was awful. Husband ordered a steak medium rare came back barely cooked, they recooked and it was still barely cooked. The pop is flat with no carbonation. Decided to go back to give it a second chance and the prime rib was cold. The owner got mad at us for opening the window blind. The only good thing about this place is that the waitress is an absolute sweetheart and does a great job. I do not recommend.

Really hit and miss. The vibe is small town restaurant. The food has a decent variety with a Canadian and Mediterranean assortment. I frequent this establishment because it’s a favourite of a friend.

The prime rib is huge and swimming in its own juice. Many people come here for this and it makes sense. The Super Bird was boring - basically just warm lunch meat and bread. The pizza was great - especially if you are a big fan of cheese. Well made.

My last visit surprised me. I had the chicken souvlaki. The chicken and rice mixed with the tzatziki was great. The Greek salad was surprisingly good. I’ll definitely be having this again.

The biggest negative is actually the owner. An older grumpy guy that hovers over the restaurant like a dark cloud. Without him this place would easily get another star.

Service was good. My lobster was overcooked and rubber, my steak was well done when I asked for medium rare. The other 3 prime rib were not cooked to request. Used to be great food, can't see myself returning.

Yumm! If you haven’t given Zambelli’s a try, you’re missing out, especially for the portion sizes. I’ve been there twice for lunch dates with some girlfriends, and it’s such a great atmosphere for it! Both times, I ordered the Caesar salad with shrimp and my friends had the penne pasta with shrimp. The portions are huge, I swear I get a whole head of lettuce and pound of shrimp. Yum! We all loved it so much that it’s become our go-to spot for lunch whenever we get the chance to meet up.

The service is very efficient, and the food comes out fast, making it perfect for a quick lunch. I definitely recommend Zambelli’s for anyone looking for a great meal in a friendly and inviting setting!

Good chicken parmesan, and the vwfies wwrw food but the pasta wad a little dey with hardly amy sauce. The swrver was pleasant.

Pasta was undercooked and hard to chew. Beer sizes were generous and big, possibly to cloud your judgement on their undercooked and bland pasta. Don’t get the pasta.
