Given the snow, it was a quiet Friday night. We had a great choice of seats and had a lovely experience. We shared the appetizer platter (highly recommended) and the short rib ragu. Service was great and the free two hour parking was very convenient.

Introduced my husband to Zulu . He said he hadn't had a meal that good for a long time! He is South African & know good food! It's always great to have the owner/?chef come round to talk to the patrons, it's really too bad that the city construction has made this area such a mess! I will truly be overjoyed when this is over & Zulu can have a real curb appeal! Kudos to the staff❤️😉🤤

Great food, owner came out and chatted with our table, great atmosphere. Will definitely be coming again.

Such a great night! Everything was outstanding — from the food and drinks to the ambiance, setup, and service. A wonderful surprise was meeting the chef, the talented Turkish-born Yuksel Gultekin. We remember him from his days as Sofra's chef and pita maestro — such a great memory! Zula is a must-visit for any Mediterranean food lover. We'll definitely be back!

It was such a pleasure dining at Zula for the first time. Every bite was exceptional and we were so well taken care of. Having Chef Yuksel bring out our meal and check on us frequently, was next level for a restaurant experience. We will be back!

Great ambience, exceptional food, and not expensive. Owner is a very nice guy, he came to our table to make sure we were all happy. Excellent restaurant.

Great restaurant with a good grasp on Mediterranean food. Their food is really good, flavorful, and well priced. The restaurant is quiet, so you are not trying to yell over others to have a conversation. The flow of the evening is not rushed. The staff is great, they even remembered my previous food allergy. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to have a relaxed evening out, and wants something different from their normal restaurant rotation.

It was our first time trying Zula. To read the Google Reviews, you'd think we were about to be served the most memorable meal of our lives, prepared by Jesus himself. I don't know what all the fuss is about. Not knowing it was Stony Plain Road Dining week, I tried the special: a scallop appetizer (2), a chicken souvlaki kebab and baklava with ice cream for around $50. I appreciated the server bringing an extra spoon for the dessert, as there were two of us. It wasn't that busy, and thankfully, the restaurant was free of screaming kids using the walkways as a playpen and large, loud, drunken parties that laugh and clap at everything, who ruin the dining experience for smaller parties. The restaurant itself is pretty new, and there is parking underground, which I appreciated. I feel bad for the owner having to endure the never-ending LRT mess for a costly, unnecessary and highly disruptive line that our greenie city council overlords want to shove down our throats. The food and service were okay, though our server disappeared at the end of the meal, and it was pretty expensive. Dinner for two with a couple of drinks and a tip was around $170. My dining partner liked the Beet Salad - it hit all the right notes for her. However, the Spaghetti Pescatore was nothing special that one couldn't find at other restaurants. The food is presented in a way that makes it perfect for Instagram, but I didn't feel the flavour matched the visual appeal. My chicken souvlaki was also okay, not outstanding. There are some more interesting dishes that I might try if I went back, like the Grilled Octopus, Smoked Duck or the Braised Short Rib, but at $45 per entree, I won't be rushing back soon. Maybe it was an off night.

The apricot and goat cheese appetizer is hands down the best and most creative appetizer I've ever had!
Had the Braised Beef Short Ribs and they melted in my mouth!
Cant wait to try something new on my next visit 🤗

We came for a birthday dinner and had an amazing experience. All the dishes we tried were exceptional- the octopus, prime rib, bruschetta, risotto and meatballs were standouts.

It’s very unfortunate that the construction is impeding the view of the restaurant. This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Edmonton in a while.

Highly recommend!

We decided to try out Zula on our date night in the city and were pleasantly surprised. It has a laid back but romantic atmosphere, great cocktail menu (try the Turkish Delight) and diverse and flavourful dinner menu. The staff was friendly and attentive, giving great suggestions.

The owner/ chef was making his rounds the whole evening, greeting the guests and asking for feedback. The food presentation was on point. I can’t say enough great things. We haven’t experienced this level of hospitality since we were in Greece 5 years ago. More restaurants should be taking notes on this.

Incredible food and menu selections at a great price. The owner was a wonderful host and very inviting, made the dinner experience that much more engaging. Plenty of food for the cost. HIGHLY recommend trying the apricots - it's a must have if you go to Zulas.
