Food is decent, restaurant aesthetic is small town and cutsey, most of the staff are excellent. I would give a higher rating, however the owner tends to be abrasive and dismissive which can be anxiety inducing.
i stayed in fort macleod for about three weeks, in that time, i was MASSIVELY underwhelmed with every eating establishment i went to.
out of all of those, this was the best experience. lunch menu is little lackluster, but, the prices reflect what you get, and its not bad, so hey, i would order that turkey sandwich again. Breakfast is where they really shine.

My favorite thing from Johnny's is for sure the War Wonton Soup (If you get a large, prepare to take some home. It's huge!) If you're looking for a brand new Chinese restaurant, this isn't the place for you. What makes this place SO special is the owners, the charm that their historical building brings, and all the stories it holds. Even Kevin Costner and Diane Lane filmed in here for the movie Let Him Go!
