Went for Breakfast yesterday. I tried eggs Florentine and my husband has the breakfast burger. Both were so good. Good Food, Great service and a fun atmosphere. We will be back.

We love eating at Avenue Cafe! I truly believe it's the best place in Fort McMurray! However, we have a consistent concern, every time we go....service is slow. So much so that my husband swears he won't return. Here is an explanation of our last experience:
March 11 2023 we were in the restaurant by 10:30 am. We sat and it took approx. 15 minutes for drinks and to take our order (2 coffees, chocolate milk, and a smoothie). The order came at approx. 11:15 am. Then it took 40-45 minutes for the check after we ate. It was so long that the people next to us even commented. We did not exit the restaurant until approx. 12:15 pm, almost 2 hours to take order, get food, eat, and get check.
We have had similar experiences every time we have went to avenue. The last time it was about an hour and 15 minutes. This one was the worst. My husband and his friend waited 1/2 hr. for coffees one day.
Just giving you this feedback. It is all right if you are not in a rush to be somewhere, but I def wouldn't recommend the restaurant if a family was on a tight schedule of an hour or less. (Based on our experiences there).
