Had the classic burger. Was so flavorful. Fries were hot and gravy was awesome. Beef barley soup was tasty. The waitress was great and friendly

I recently dined at Eagle Ridge Eatery and Café in Fort McMurray and had a mixed experience. 

Chicken Taco: The taste was quite bland, lacking depth and originality. While the corn tortilla had a neat texture, the overall combination of lettuce and sauce was too simple. It needed a touch of citrus, some aromatics, and perhaps pickled carrots or cabbage for a bit of crunch. The cherry tomatoes were also not the best choice for this dish.

Steak Dinner: On a positive note, the mashed potatoes were delightful, with great flavor and balance. The mushroom, onion, and peppers medley side dish was tasty, though I would recommend using a bit less butter to avoid overpowering the other flavors. The steak was a bit of a letdown. It was cut unevenly, with one side being chewier than the other. There was also a transition piece in the middle that was particularly tough. Although it was labeled as a sirloin steak, there seemed to be another portion of meat that was either not sirloin or contained a major blood vessel, making it very chewy.

Despite these issues, I would consider returning for the steak, as it had potential. However, I would likely avoid the chicken taco in the future due to its lack of flavor.

I just received the worst service. People that entered the restaurant after me received their food and were completed. Then I asked where was my food. By this time I was not interested. I just wanted to leave. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT. The staff does not seem to care.

I visited Eagle Ridge Eatery and was quite disappointed with the customer service. The man who took my order didn’t offer a smile or say thank you….when it came time to pay, I tapped my card and he walked away from the register without a word, which felt quite strange. He also didn’t ask if I needed a receipt. It’s disheartening to experience such a lack of basic courtesy and professionalism.

No soap in the washroom just watered down soap in a dispenser from god knows when. Dirty place. Bad menu , cheap uninspired lazy offerings. No home fry’s for breakfast everything deep fried. Asked for over easy was over medium eggs. Old veggies in the omelette asked for it not to be well done and lo and behold was well done . No butter , bad coffee etc etc goes on and on. Do better ffs!!! Nothing else open at 6 am other than their other location avenue eatery which also has bad food but much nicer and cleaner venue. Never again a&w or McDonald’s would have been a better option. Also our waiter was pleasant but should wash hands after picking something off the ground.

The best Americano I had in this town. Nice atmosphere with local art in the walls, comfortable seating, quick friendly attentive service. The berry smoothie was yummy.

Good pancakes and overall decent breakfast spot. Nothing over the top that stood out. Will visit it more often for sure.

Best place in town. Food is excellent and really good service. Our waitress is always friendly and prompt service.

One time we went there and asked if the meats are halal. The guy working in the bar said chickens are hala. So we ate there.
Next time went to eat again and the server said no, there is no hala meat. I was surprised. I respect their business but they should not hide information.
Don’t recommend this place at all.
So disappointed…

Eggs Benny is super tasty! Not greasy at all. Highly recommend this place ?
