Small concession style restaurant located in the Design Works center lobby with some well above average food. Have had several items off their menu that are surprisingly delicious, like the Ruben, BLTC and Spicy buffalo chicken wrap. Also a personal favorite, the Mushroom burger that is big enough to share at times. Overall a great spot to get some food. Operating times may vary depending on the season

We hosted a baby shower for my new grandson.
May 24, 2025.
At the Design Centre.
We order sandwiches, amazing full of meat, cheese and lettuce, bread was delicious!
A large tray of fresh fruit, a mixture of grapes, strawberries, melons.
A smaller tray of veggies, all fresh and dip included.
Food was delivered on a trolly with napkins and forks.
Everything was fresh.
When hosting an event we would use Hat trick Grill again.
We would highly recommend their food for any occasion!

Used them for a kids birthday party because we weren’t allowed to bring in our own food. Communication was awful. Was told they didn’t do meat trays, then told they did but it was too late to change. Was told they don’t provide cutlery cups etc, then told day of they did. $65 for a fruit tray, $65 for a veggie tray, and they were not worth $65. Pizzas were $21 each for mediums. Juice boxes were $1.50 each.

Very unpleasant experience picking up an order from Hat Trick Grill. Rude owner; was screaming and yelling at his staff. Would never suggest this place. Such a toxic place. Absolutely disgusting

Had a Taco Buffet Upstairs for our hockey team in between games. It was great! Thanks!

When i placed my order at the concession the cashier told me "if i say please" and would not proceed until I complied. I was quite uncomfortable with the level of expectation as "please" is considered good manners not a prerequisite to a service that the customer is paying for. I almost walked away.

Was eating their burger and it tasted good until I realized the middle part of the burger wasn’t even cooked. The outside was cooked. Very disappointing as I already had two bites of uncooked meat without realizing. Waste of money to buy a burger I couldn’t eat.

Great quality home made style food.
I had a GIANT turkey club wrap. My friend had a bacon cheeseburger.

He said the patty was handmade and my wrap was the size of a mucho size burrito.
Good portion size and quality.

Price was a little high but I also bought soup which I didn't need given the wrap size. It's forgivable since it's at a rink.

It would be nice if the burger had a fries drink combo price.

Seating is cafeteria style rolling round tables with fixed stools.

Other than that it was great.

Have had this place on my list for a while due to the good things I've heard. I'll definitely be back soon! Home-cooked amazing quality food. I got the grilled ham and cheese, which has real grilled ham piled high. Real cheddar and served on marble rye bread. It was so good and so filling! Also got the small poutine which is made with fresh cut fries, and the gravy was delish!

The aptly named Hat Trick Grill scores on all 3; service, quality and value. The craziest part, it's in a hockey arena lobby. I don't care, it's working. The ham and cheese sandwich is worth fighting a kid on skates for. I would bodycheck a small child for their gravy as well. I'm not ashamed, it's good gravy.
