Do not try to use Jeffrey’s for catering. We tried from at least October of 2023 (probably sooner) to May of 2024 to get them to answer us regarding catering for our wedding and they completely ghosted us. We had to cancel our venue because Jeffrey’s has the catering rights over it and we could not get in touch with them. Many emails, phone calls and social media shoutouts were left unheard, I even went in person and spoke to someone and they still wouldn’t get back to me! Why advertise catering and hold rights over a venue if you can’t manage it? I have heard from many others the same frustrations when it comes to catering. Do not trust them with catering.

Wanted to substitute Salmon for shrimp…they seriously wanted to upcharge me $ 8.- Server totally unknowledgeable about menu and items on menu. Host not friendly told me a 30 min wait tried to discourage me from waiting put my babe on the waitlist was seated in 3 minutes lots of empty spots. Terrible experience….will never come back!

I’ve been going to the library for years and this cafe is beyond inconsistent I’m surprised it’s still there. They’re always closed without warning, they close early before their hours list(they aren’t open many hours to begin with) and just today I asked for their menu which I’ve ordered from before at this location. And the cashier said they don’t have one and things change. How are you supposed to have a cafe selling only one grilled cheese sandwich?? For it being right next to a few provincial buildings I would expect more. I always show up just to be disappointed time and time again. Done giving them the chances

fantastic food and coffee not a fan of our waitress but tipped her anyways can’t fault the place on anything always seems to be one bad apple in a box will go back in hopes of getting a different waitress

Usually a good place to eat but on Saturday the kitchen was having an all out war . Pots and pans and dishes being slammed ! The whole restaurant was along for the ride !!! Not happy ?

I tried to place an order with them for a family member in hospital, going through some issues on their birthday, from out of country. Their website is blocked internationally, so I called them. The employee would not work with me to place an order, stating they would only take orders on the website. They were rude, and hung up on me, trying to put some sunshine into someone’s life while in the hospital. They don’t deserve your business with this attitude.

Was very excited to grab a coffee from this location as I work within walking distance. While I was waiting to place an order I watched the staff bring out a sandwich order (touching the sandwich barehanded), then make drinks, take the next customer's order by tapping on the tablet, dish up soup, reach into the display case and pull out a cookie barehanded (touching the cookie), accept payment from that customer and continue to the next. No handwashing in between all of these steps and interactions. Needless to say, I left before ordering. I have worked in several food establishments and this would be a huge no go. Please ensure staff have proper food safety handling training on proper handwashing practices and get tongs/food service safe gloves to use when touching food directly.

I've tried to give this location the benefit of the doubt since they've opened shop in the MCC, but it is just extremely poorly managed. Equipment like the steamer wand and grill regularly break down and take weeks to fix, service is at a snail's pace, and the new staff member they have working the counter is not very friendly. Online ordering rarely functions correctly, either. Staff often work in the back and customers have to awkwardly hover and hope to catch their attention to be served (could you maybe get a bell to ring?). I very rarely go to the other locations, so I don't know if this is the norm all over, but this one is a hot mess.
