This was our first time visiting this Indian restaurant in Grande Prairie. We love authentic Indian food and were guided by the positive reviews we'd read online. The food was all really awful. The popadums tasted like oily prawn crackers; the samosas were inedible paste-like stodge; and the two main dishes - the lamb buna ghost and a chicken vindaloo - tasted like something out of a jar. We had to throw it all out after trying them. Perhaps we visited when they were having an off day or their regular chef was away?

I absolutely loved the experience, the restaurant atmosphere was comfortable and the server was so friendly and welcoming. Now the food was just fantastic, the naan was so soft yet crunchy, probably the best naan you could eat in Grande Prairie. I had the Butter chicken and shared it with my sister and there was more than enough to fill us up. The flavours were rich and it was delicious. Worth a try.

Originating from the U.K we consider ourselves somewhat connoisseurs of Indian food. We have eaten in many places in Grande Prairie as well as Edmonton and Calgary. Spice Ministry is by far and away the best variety and best tasting food we have experienced. RDS
