Smitty's is always a great breakfast stop. The service is friendly, and the food is plentiful. I always feel welcome when I visit the Smitty's in Hinton.

Today February 3 2024 . Was not a better day for service or coffee .lol. Coffee is old and strongly chewable , not good for asthmatics, I had to drink a sip of water to wash my sip down . So a second sip of water did not help . Coffee is too strong and old! I sent it back just drinking water now. No dry coffing now. I had to wait for our server to stop counting change , come take my order at least 10 minutes or longer ? No Coffee, no eating . Just sat and watched mom , have Clam , chowder , I sat and read the menu , front to back 2-1/2 times and still waited only to say it took to long to order so. Water is all I am having I can cook myself dinner in the same time I waited today. Oh well , this place , was really - really , 2 of us 1 other person came in while we where here . Nice place.Really though places like this should think about how their customers feel , when they are ignored because they are busy doing other things . Obviously places as this one the have different views on customer service. Places like this thrive regardless of a the customer's. Lol .

Just one ⭐ and I'm being generous. Horrible food and service. My husband and I ended up with a stomach ache, we went here because the restaurant next door was terribly disgusting. We couldn't find anything decent for dinner in this town. Bad, bad, bad.????
We go there for breakfast and is usually decent. Not sure if the staff has had training with the app from corporate. It's a casual feel for casual food.

Food was cooked to perfection. We had spinach omelette, benny cal, pancakes , sweet potato fries . Service was amazing ! Our server gave us a special sweet chili sauce with our sweet potato fries to try - wow how amazing it was !

It is really hard to find a Smitty's in Ontario, so we were really excited to find one on our vacation.We had breakfast at the Hinton Smitty's two mornings in a row. It did not disappoint.The restaurant was clean and bright. The service was perfect and our hearty breakfasts were delicious. I just wish they still had potato pancakes like in the olden days.

Great service but the food was extremely generic lack of taste and you need to let the chef know that egg Benedict requires sauce covering the eggs and cook those potatoes properly?
