Tasty treats and delicious coffee made our visit very enjoyable. The walk around the surrounding shops was also nice.

My wife and I were in Hinton on a camping trip and I wanted to try this place as I love local coffee shops. We walked in and were greeted by the two gentleman working that day. The barista was very helpful in making suggestions and I settled on a caramel macchiato and a date slice. I must mention that he was kind enough to tell me that a traditional macchiato was more of an espresso shot so that I wouldn't possibly be disappointed. We sat for awhile and enjoyed the coffee and the date slice that was made fresh was also delicious. I also noticed that they make breakfast and lunch items and cater to gluten free and other dietary needs.
So if you're in Hinton and want to try some good local coffee with good conversation and a very friendly atmosphere please try The Old Grind. Looking forward to our next visit. ?☕️

If you're in Hinton, this is a "must visit" kind of place. If we didn't live in Europe, we would visit daily. The people are extremely nice, the coffee, sandwiches and baked goods are excellent and you simply have to try the espresso milkshake.
Great value for money too. Highly recommend!

It is a nice place to sit and have a bite to eat and a mocha. They have local artwork for sale as well. This would be my go-to place if I lived in Hinton.
(My only problem was the young children acting like that were in a playground. But that was only once of three three times I've been there. My complaint is eith the parents not the coffee shope.)

Every time I go through Hinton, I stop at the old grind it's a breakfast wrap or soup or a sandwich their food is delicious and filling
if you haven't had a raspberry nanaimo bar before, they do have them, and they are ridiculously decandent and a generous portion size.
