Outstanding place for fresh seafood and chill ambience.

ordered: fiddle fish pot, seafood risotto, rainbow trout

all fishes were fresh and plump

risotto was creamy and extremely delicious with a wonderful blend of mushroom and seafood and great texture from the rice

fiddle fish pot was tangy and refreshing with a little brininess from hidden capers

tldr: you cant really go wrong with choices here but the risotto is an almost must-get

Wow this place was amazing. Chowder was fantastic, salad was unique, complex and tasty. Trout dinner was great as was the salmon spanikopita.

The food was mediocre, our table had the meatballs and banic, crab poutine, muscles and fries, shrimp and salad. We all agreed it wasn’t our favourite

The food was exceptional! I had the seafood chowder and my husband had the seafood risotto. The food was fresh, creamy and bursting with flavour. The service was friendly, fast and our server checked on us many times and refilled our drinks. I would highly recommend. I also loved the artwork on the walls by a local artist.

We had great meals meatloaf made from bison, elk and boar for me and elk stroaganoff for my husband. They were both delicious! We each ha creme rules for dessert. That was so good that we wanted to pick our bowls!

To get to the restaurant there are a few flights of stairs. Unless there’s an elevator, I Didn’t see any wheelchair access. The Wait to be seated was very short. There were only a few other patrons inside. Ordered Two small shares for lunch, which were brought to the table shortly after. I don’t think the waitress was happy we only had water to drink and only the two shares. “Is that it?” Average service. For the value of the food I would have expected better serving size. Six shrimp and and small serving of Ceviche. Although there were lots of visitors in Jasper making street parking a challenge, Fiddle River used to be busy with customers. Maybe not so much now for a Noon lunch. Other lunch venues were busy with patios. Window views are dirty, and sadly wildfires ravished the mountain trees and no wildlife to be seen wandering the area.

we came here to try the elk and bison. ordered the burger and the stroganoff— both were pretty disappointing. stroganoff was very dry with not much flavour. the burger was okay, juicy, but still not flavourful. the only highlight was the fries that came with the burger. their candied salmon isn’t good either— too salty.

Dining here as a pescatarian feels like winning the restaurant jackpot. Every single dish was a 10/10, my favourites being the mussels in tomato saffron sauce, clam chowder and risotto. The mussels were so plump and flavourful, it was the best I’ve ever had. Same with the clam chowder, which I’ll be daydreaming about everyday until I come back. The lobster tail add on was cooked to perfection, it made me feel like every single lobster I’ve tried in my life before this has been overcooked. Service was great, food came out fast, lovely atmosphere, great price for the quality. Seriously just the best. Better than any Michelin star restaurant I’ve tried. Will definitely be back soon from Toronto!

The seafood chowder was phenomenal and the service was excellent. Would highly recommend a visit to Fiddle River!
