This place is horrible! Filipino owned and operated and they do not know how to prepare Korean food. They charge high prices for the Banchan side dishes which are typically free. The Kimchi was a disaster, and had no flavor at all. It had not even been fermented. We sent it back and did not pay for it. The bulgogi had mostly cabbage and very little beef. They should have changed the name from beef bulgogi to cabbage bulgogi. Portions are small with little meat and bulked up with mostly cabbage. The glass of water was good though.

Staff was not friendly and we felt very rushed when she was at the table taking our order even though there was nobody else in the restaurant. If you eat here you will surely be disappointed, especially if you know Korean food.

Drive to Kimchi House in Hinton, where the food and service is so much better.

Nice surprise finding a korean restaurant in jasper with a lot of the typical Korean dishes i have come to know. Food was fresh and flavoursome and spice level can be adjusted. Good menu selection, food came out fairly quickly and service was friendly. Prices are reasonable for what you get, only disappointment was they had run out of cass beer 🍺 well worth checking out.

Had a 6-hour drive from Edmonton and ate at this place. The food was delicious, the place was spacious, and the staff were accommodating. We really enjoyed the food we ordered.

Deep fried Shrimp 🍤, dumplings... CRAZY GOOD. So much flavor and the sauce they have with it is 10/10. Highly recommend place to eat.

This is genuinely some of the worst Korean food I’ve had in a while. Sickly sweet, not authentic, and stingy meat portions. Banchan also not included here and was an extra $4 per tiny dish.

I’ve never had tteokbokki where the sauce was brown and it had noodles and stir fried vegetables in it. It also had 3 fish balls acting as the fish cake.

Soups were okay flavour-wise, but there was still that slight sweet flavour that typically shouldn’t be there. There was also barely any meat. I genuinely thought I ordered a vegetarian soup.

For the price, I’m disappointed. Won’t be coming again.

Food was tasty and hit the spot on a cold day. Could have been more generous with the seafood quantity ($2 extra for one shrimp and a mussle is a bit wild). Restaurant was nicely lit and clean, server was kind.

Some things to say :

When we arrived only one table was eating and we had to wait few minutes to be seated even if the waiters saw us.

My food was good (beef bul go gi), my girlfriend food was not that great (vegi Korean noodle with soup). She ask mild, they served it medium spicy (it was really spicy) and they just said oh sorry we misenderstood, here's the bill. No discount nothing and she just ate half.

They started to clean the floor while we where eating with bleach right next to us, so it was smelling really strongly and was not great.

Overall the service was not great, no welcoming, didn't come to ask if everything was good (we needed more forks, I had to walk up to them to ask for it).

Food is nice, service not

It’s not that the food is bad — just don’t expect authentic, top-tier Korean cuisine. But if you focus on the fact that you can enjoy Korean food at all in the middle of the mountains… then honestly, it’s not bad at all.

I should have known something was off with this place when I saw they charged for side dishes. The food was utterly disappointing and none of my party of four finished their food. The spicy tofu stew (sun dubu) tasted very much like the broth from a shin ramen package and was loaded with tofu and very little meat. The service was good enough but the food was very far from authentic korean, would not recommend anyone to eat here.

We visited this restaurant two nights in a row because the food was very tasty. We especially enjoyed the fried dumplings definitely a highlight and full of great flavor. Overall, the dishes had a nice taste and kept us coming back. However, we did notice that the meat wasn’t very tender on both visits.

Kimchi House is one of the few Asian eateries in Jasper, and it definitely hits the spot! We didn't have to wait when we went, and we easily found a table, even with my small service dog. We ordered one of the two-person specials (I can't recall the exact name since we visited back in August!), but for the price and flavor, it was a fantastic deal! We also enjoyed some soju with our meal. We were genuinely impressed by how quickly the food arrived, even though the restaurant was full. We would happily go back anytime we're in Jasper!

This was a delicious meal. One of our party if three doesn't like spice, and they could easily accommodate. We both enjoyed our spicy tasty dinner in a cozy atmosphere.
