We had such a great experience during our visit to Japser, the food at Montannas is delicious as usual and thanks to Aman! She was incredibly helpful, very approachable, and genuinely friendly throughout our visit. She made us feel comfortable and well taken care of, checking in on us with a warm attitude and making sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend asking for her if you’re at Montana’s!

Food tasted average. Steak was good. The food could be plated better. For dessert the cookie with ice cream was not good. The cookie was not hot enough. The service could have been better. I chose to sit in a place that was more hidden from the front, so I had to constantly have to get their attention. I think the restaurant was short staffed. However the view was really nice, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was good.

If you want meat / bbq - this is the place to go to in Jasper. After fumbling ourselves through the menu Deep helped us greatly with our customised wishes. Throughly enjoyed the food and view on the outside terrace - be hungry!

We stopped by Montana’s BBQ in Jasper spontaneously and can only recommend it! The ribs were very tasty, and the brisket burger was just as delicious. The service was very friendly and attentive throughout.
What really stood out to us was the fair pricing – great portions and quality at a very reasonable cost.
If you're looking for a place to enjoy a hearty and satisfying meal, this is definitely the spot to go. Highly recommended!

I was very, VERY surprised by the quality of the food here. Brisket and pulled pork were actually smoked to perfection. The cornbread was not dry at all, and the service was incredibly efficient. I don't have a single bad thing to say about this place. Even the playlist was full of bangers.

The jasper montanas used to be our go-to spot every time we visited jasper. We have never changed what we order, always steak and ribs, and it was always amazing quality and cooked perfectly. We just went recently, and the food was a complete disappointment. The quality of the steaks took a complete u-turn from perfect to tough and full of unchewable pieces. It definitely seemed like they picked up discounted meat. They also cook it in a new way with some kind of spice that tastes like how dog food smells. I'm very disappointed. We will not be returning.

Went with my family here recently and while the service by Palak was initially good, our overall experience was disappointing.
We waited roughly 30 minutes before our food arrived, which felt quite long for a table of four. However, the biggest issue came when it was time to pay. Our bill for 4 people was $161 including tax, but when Palak handed my mom the machine, the total showed $191. Naturally, we were shocked as this was $30 more than our bill. When my mom questioned it, Palak explained that gratuity was included at 15%.
My mom went ahead and paid, but once we left, we did the math and realized the added amount equated to roughly 18–20%, not 15% as stated. On top of that, we were never informed beforehand that gratuity would be added automatically—especially surprising since most restaurants only do this for parties of 6 or more, not 4. Typically, restaurants that add gratuity also post a clear sign or note it on the menu, which we never saw anywhere in the restaurant.
We called the restaurant immediately, and Palak offered to refund us. She met us at the entrance and handed us $20, which still didn’t cover the full difference and left us paying about $10 more than we should have. While explaining, she changed her story multiple times—first saying she thought my mom asked if it was 20%, then claiming she told us 18%, even though she clearly said 15%.
This experience felt extremely unprofessional and left my family feeling like the situation was handled in a very sketchy way. We will not be returning and strongly recommend checking your bill carefully if you choose to dine here.
