Our recent visit to The Nook Steak House was an experience that tested our patience but ultimately rewarded it with a delightful dining experience.Upon arrival, we found ourselves waiting for approximately 15 minutes before someone attended to our table. The hallway leading to the entrance was very unappealing (lined with about 15 empty coatracks - something I would not expect at a Fairmont hotel). We were the first reservation of the evening and were initially seated in a back corner. We asked to be moved up toward the fireplace and were reluctantly taken care of (this was prior to us having sat down at all.) The first course was too salty to enjoy. Main courses were average. We were at the Nook on December 29, 2023 and our server Jason was the best server we have ever had at a restaurant. He was beyond polite, extremely nice and friendly and was always coming to check on us and our food/drinks. The food was amazing and atmosphere was lovely. The only thing I would say they could improve on would be the height of the 4 top tables. It felt like we were sitting at a kids table but it was easy to look past.
