After visiting about five to six times, I’ve come to the conclusion that I wouldn’t really recommend this place. Some days, the food was decent — not amazing, but okay. But on other days, it was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had.

This place has always been hit or miss, but after yesterday’s huge miss, no more chances unfortunately. Which is honestly disappointing because I’ve recommended this restaurant to so many people. The prices are fair, the menu has great variety, and when it’s good, it’s genuinely good.
Great food or not, this place is not safe for anyone with allergies, and after my experience with the chef and owner/management, I won’t be coming back.
I ordered the Cherry Blossom roll with no sesame, as i'm allergic, for take-out. The roll itself had none (great), but the order came with a side of sesame seaweed salad. I went back, apologized for returning it, but this is not what I ordered. Before returning it, I saw the seaweed salad touch parts of the roll. It’s oily and was packed in a paper cup, so cross-contamination was obvious.
I watched the chef take the salad out of the box and try to give me the same roll that had traces of the allergen. I explained to the hostess (who truly tried her best) that I couldn’t eat it due to a severe allergy. She told this and more to the chef, but he kept insisting it was fine and kept returning the same roll guaranteeing there was no cross-contamination… even though I saw it with my own eyes (???).
At this point, it's clear the chef is not allergen-aware or simply doesn't care. Naturally I just asked for a refund because I was uncomfortable with the whole situation and no longer trusted the food. The owner/management initially refused the refund, insisting the chef would just re-make it. After some back and forth (poor hostess I felt terrible), the owner/management finally refunded me… and then loudly threw a tantrum in the kitchen. While the chef stared me down from behind his glass cage, no less.
I’m so disappointed. This used to be a favorite spot, but after this, I won’t be returning.

I was craving sushi on my roadtrip through Jasper. I found One Sushi, which had 4 stars and I thought ok, lets try it. They didnt have my personal preference of spicy crab roll, so i decided to venture out of my comfort zone and try their Amazing Roll with mango pieces. Oh my god, it did NOT disappoint. I was so pleasantly surprised at how fresh the fish was and how well the flavours went together. This spot is a must-try for all sushi lovers. I am so impressed and so happy i took a chance!

The poke bowl (came with one protein and glass noodle) was delicious. The steamed gyoza was good. The server was friendly but overloaded servicing too many tables. The atmosphere was nice. The women's washroom was unheated and the sink faucet had no hot water.

Truly awful. $20 ramen came with one tiny sliver of pork. Reluctantly was given a second sliver and told it wasn’t a mistake. Chef should be embarrassed to serve it.
I live in jasper, the service is always great and the food is also always amazing. There is no hit and miss here. Chef does an amazing job, and the wait staff are fantastic. I definitely recommend. I recently found i can add a lil extra to my sushi if i do so ask and i really love a lil mango on my order. The potato thingys are so yummmm and the sushi is friggen fresh. I do recommend. I think its now 6 days straight we have gotten sushi and its been at least twice a week since may that we eat here. Thats about all i need to say i guess.

Very disappointing experience at One Sushi. The soup was completely flat — no depth, no richness, and none of the comforting broth flavor you expect from a Ramen restaurant. The sashimi was just okay, nothing special, and certainly not enough to make up for the rest of the meal.
The waitress came by only twice: once to take our order, and once to hand us the bill. And yes, of course, the 15% tip was automatically expected at the end.

The dining experience is extremely unsatisfying. The Ramen here is a total scam, we ordered a Don katsu Ramen (For those who don't know, don katsu means deep fried pork cutlet) but the product turns out have no meat at all but ONE SUPER THIN SLICE OF CHASU, with absolutely no flavor. The noodle and the soup base taste worse than the instant ramen you can buy in supermarket. The most unacceptable part is the price, it cost 21 cad for this bowl of plain noodle.
The attitude of the waitress and the owner are rude also. They totally ignored our complain and took absolutely no action to deal with the problem. They explained that is REGULAR to have no donkatsu in a donkatsu Ramen in their restaurant. Imagine u order a latte in coffee shop and they give you a cup of whole milk, it's super ridiculous😂. After we insist getting a refund, they finally take a step back, by GIVING A HUGE 10% DISCOUNT ON ONLY THE RAMEN👍🏻
