I mean… how did this place got 4.8 for rating? I don’t understand. The atmosphere is very outdated. Nothing about here is special. We tried the omakase course (it’s in a bad writing on a piece of paper or on a board? I don’t remember but we’ve heard good thing about this place and decided to come). But it didn’t feel like a proper omakase at all…it was more like leftover tuna party. The way chef cut the tuna in a mediocre-butchery looking sashimi. I thought I could’ve cut better a chunk of raw fish at home. And what pisses me off is they told me the price is going to be $80 then it changed to $120! I was gonna say something but I ate so I paid but it would’ve been much better if I was informed. A part of me thought they increased the price because it was on a date and the chef (he is the actual owner by the way) thought we won’t speak up. He was right. We didn’t speak up and just paid. But guess what? You lost me completely. No ethics. At the end. I feel like I got cheated. And I hate him for charging me for the unexpected price.

This sushi joint truly lives up to its rating. Service is friendly and unrushed both over the phone for take out and in person. I simply have to tell them how many people and our preferences, and they will prepare exactly what you want. Their menu is simply a suggestion, you can ask for anything (sushi, lol).It's a bit more expensive but you truly, absolutely get what you pay for.There are other sushi places in the area with high rankings but Sushi Land blows them out of the water.

10/10 - a hidden gem indeed. The restaurant was somewhat hidden during evening time because the neighborhood was not crowded and well-lit. Regardless, the food was amazing: sashimi was super fresh, tempura was crunchy, most of all you get a lot for the price you pay :) you can tell the chef put his heart into the food.

I found this sushi place on google maps earlier this year and I’ve been there more than 3 times already. It’s really good sushi and noodles. The people are very kind and it’s excellent service. I really recommend this place.

I was expecting Chicken Donburi to be more like Oyakodon as it was shown in the picture but it was just chicken with teriyaki sauce over rice. And the rice was awful, I bet it wasn’t cooked that day - it was literally a hard block of rice that overflowing sauce couldn’t soften it.

Hands down the best sushi spot if you’re on the west end of Toronto. The food is consistent and the fish is always fresh (top quality!).I’m a returning customer and recommend it to all my friends.The service is great; the owners are very sweet and pleasant — thank you for the amazing food!!

Little mom and pop shop that always takes care of us when we visit!Husband and wife are always working so hard and can always count of them greeting us with a smile.We ordered a medley of things, the rolls are massive and stuffed and once you’re a regular they really make sure you feel like one!
