Had the big charcuterie board and it was easily the best board we've ever had...service was great. Such a cool spot that is a little off the beaten path. It's very very good...great happy hour deals too !

We used Tekarra lodge as a nice little buried in nature rest stop on our road trip and ended up met with possibly our best dinner of the whole trip.
Dinner: The Wild Boar Buschetta and Smoked Salmon Flat bread were a hearty start to our meal. The bruschetta boasted a perfect balance of dry and moist, salty and sweet; while the smoked salmon had delightfully crunchy fried capers and a hearty serving of peppery refreshing arugula. (Took to dipping the arugula in the balsamic glaze of the bruschetta...chefs kiss)
The duck was okay.....but the REAL STAR was the Truffled Gnocchi ! Never in my life would I think the veg option would be the thing I write home about. INCREDIBLY creamy but still light due to the lemon heart of it. The balance in this dish was off the charts! The acid pop from the tomatos perfectly countered the creamy lemon sauce while the salty crisped kale enveloped the tongue in a flavor bomb of preparation for the crunchy roasted chick peas. 10/10 would drive to Jasper JUST to have this Gnocchi dish again.
Dessert was the Lemon Tartlet and the Triple Chocolate Tort.
Lemon tartlet could have had a little more custard, but I like a lot. The shortbread crust was perfect, and the cute perfectly cooked little meringue melted in the mouth.
The 3C Tort would have been best with a reduced cake layer, as that exquisite chocolate mousse + chocolate ganache simply did not deserve the interloper. But as ever, all things are personal preference.
Drinks:
Maple old fashioned was smooth af. And they do mean maple.
Dark and stormy Brought the ginger beer Hard.

Breakfast: all I will say is the espresso with a dash of cream was divine, and the Belgian waffle was perfection.
Poached eggs are done in vinegar water.

Vibe: Total old timey cabin. Very Oregon Trail Canteena. Chill... Dark... Cozy... And sweet as pie hosts.

Beautiful find in Jasper NP. Dinner, dessert, breakfast - lovely meals, cozy restaurant and very personal waiting staff. We even had an unexpected visitor to our table. Do need reservations, even if it's not busy.

Our dinner on the terrace of Tekkara Restaurant was a pleasant surprise!
Food and service of very good quality, the chef can do something!
The service from Miranda and her colleague was appropriate - the restaurant is recommended, even if you are not a guest at the lodge!

Tekarra lodge restaurant This is a favorite spot of ours. One of those relaxed mountain romantic experiences. Admittedly it's been sa while since we have been there. I was disappointed. Their old fashioned cocktail was incredibly watery - even with a solid round ice cube. The Lemony Snicket was well done and very enjoyable. We shared the blackened shrimp cocktail - the grilled prawns were literally cold and raw to the bite. Significantly & painfully over spiced. I had the catch of the day. It was good. The coconut sauce was light tasting and runny. Reducing it would have enriched the taste and thickness. I'm not a salt user - but some layering of salt would have made it amazing. My partner had the Tekarra meatloaf. It was perfection! Beautifully prepared and spiced. Both our veggies were really well done and flavorful. It's an emotional favorite and we will certainly go back - being more careful with our choices in the future.

As we were staying on the property we decided to dine at the restaurant. The staff were excellent, the food spectacular and the prices reasonable for the quality of the food. Two had the meatloaf with seasonal veg, one had the free run chicken and one the ravioli. We asked our lovely French waitress if she could pass on our thanks to the chef as we really appreciated the effort he put in including the desserts which were possibly the best we have had. Thank you Team for such a fantastic meal and wonderful evening.

Tekarra Restaurant at Tekarra Lodge offered a warm and inviting dining room, a well-curated menu of local dishes and wine/beverage options, and attentive service. The food was exquisitely prepared. We loved it so much that we returned the next evening! It was the best dining experience we encountered during our travels in Banff and Jasper National Parks.

Tekarra Restaurant is by far the biggest surprise my wife and I have had in 2023. We went there since we were staying and what a surprise. Great cocktails and beer list. My wife had the meatloaf made with wild boar, elk and bison. With the gravy, this was a dish from the finest restaurants in NY or Chicago. It was outdone by the chef's special that night, a spätzle crusted wild boar loin. A great server (Marion, we love you!) followed by smores at the campfire by the river, well it just doesn't get any better. Make this a stop when in Jasper.

Simple dinning room and very unique/different food than we are familiar with. Enjoyed every part of our meal. Good service

Lovely restaurant for a quiet dinner. We had great service, the old fashioned was good, not great. Husband loved the meatloaf made from boar, elk and bison and I really enjoyed the wild mushroom ravioli.

Cozy dining room with simple décor, small porch gives it a country lodge feel. On the grounds where Tekarra cabins are. The cocktails were nice. The Mountain Mule was a standard mule with local vodka and ginger beer, fresh lime. The Miette Margarita was a good , standard version. Both refreshing. Appetizers - The Newfoundland Blue Mussels came in a saffron crème sauce with shallots, white wine and crème fraiche. A large serving of tender mussels in a sauce worthy of soaking up with the crusty sourdough. The Blackened Shrimp Cocktail was two rather large, tender shrimp seared in a spicy but not too spicy Louisiana seasoning on top of fried wonton cups with a marscapone-horseradish cream. Menu said there was guacamole in the cream but it did not shine through. Nice little side of spring mix went well when dressed with the lemon provided. The entrée was the Chef’s Cut of the day which was roast wild boar loin with a blueberry au jus paired with roasted carrots, baby potatoes, sweet peppers and cord on the cob. The boar had good flavor but was a tad overdone. The starters were more of a treat than the mains. We did not have dessert. We did have a good local wine- Screaming Frenzy Meritage. Full bodied, dry not much tannin, smooth and nice pairing with the boar. The server was very friendly and willing to answer questions and give opinions and let us sample the wine before ordering a bottle. A pleasant dinner. We had reservations for 7pm, but the restaurant was not busy.

When we arrived there, it was so quiet because there was early and nobody was there... and then we saw like 7 or 8 Elk by the window, very nice. And the service was nice, the food was amazing! One of the best meatloaf I ate and I also finish my girlfriend plate which was Mushroom ravioli with chicken... If I return to Jasper, I'll definitely reserve another table! A must go!

My parter and I ordered steaks the same way, hers was over while mine was under. The cuts were not high quality either. The corn, potatoes, carrots, and bell pepper were all over cooked, they were just mush. Overall it was pretty disappointing and I'd expect much better for the price. Won't be going back.
