This spot is definitely worth the drive! My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal on the patio overlooking the lake, and then took a stroll over by the boat house. It was truly one of the most memorable points in our entire trip through the Canadian Rockies!

Food is meh but it was unfortunately the incredibly rude and disrespectful service that ruined our experience here. I was hoping it would be isolated to their hostess. Not the case. Seems to be the running theme here that they are inconvenienced by even your presence there. Eye rolls. Scoffs. Sarcastic remarks to standard questions. Absolutely would not recommend and even worse not at all accommodating for families. We visited on Aug 23 2025 and although the views are amazing, don’t waste your time or your money coming here. Brutal place to bring your kids due to the staff. Pack a lunch!!

It has a great view right in front of the lake. The food is good and has a very beautiful presentation. The price is very reasonable. Highly recommend.

The food is ok, but what made our experience standout was the service. Awesome staff who answered questions about the area, were very accommodating of allergies, and super friendly. Thank you :)

The restaurant is aptly named as the view is unbelievable! We especially had great time chatting with the server, Davie - he had us laughing the whole time. All the staff we met including Noah and both of the Eves were super friendly from the moment we walked up till the moment we left.

Wish we could say that we enjoyed lunch at the view. Despite placing an order about 40 mins to go for our boarding time for our cruise, we ended up having to get them in take out boxes and scramble for seats on the cruise at the end.
There needs to be better coordination between the servers and the kitchen here.

We had good time, had very good food, eating outside with nice lake view in pleasant weather. We ordered burger and crispy pork flat bread, came with delicious fries. Our server Taylor is very attentive, friendly, provided us with quick and efficient service.

Trip to spirit island Mason the bartender was the overtop with good service and tasty drinks !!! $xx
Tripadvisor doesn't allow 0 star otherwise that would be my rating. Ordered beef burger and fries. The beef patty was pre-cooked, dried, and tough as nail. Fries were cold. At least the coffee was decent. And they didn't screw up the water. Another customer ordered the soup which was cold. The cook came out from the kitchen, tested the soup with a thermometer from his pocket. After the measurement, wiped the thermometer with his hand, put the thermometer back into his pocket. This doesn't seem too sanitory to me. Health inspectors should visit the View. Do not eat here!!!!
Exremely beatiful location overlooking Lake Maligne. Nice patio with plenty of seats. They close at 5:00pm during winter ( Sept) so if you plan to take the Lake cruise, you should arrive early enough to grap a nice meal.
Parking: Plenty of parking nearby

We came here for a quick lunch before our Maligne Lake cruise. Thankfully, our food was served quickly so we weren't late. The food was good and interesting, fresh. We got the pork canna dilla, pork flat bread, and pickerel lettuce wrap. The sandwiches were good, but I was not a fan of the chips it was served with. Prices are high for what you get, but makes sense since this is a tourist area. There is a large patio area where most of the diners were seated.Unfortunately the washrooms were broken so we had to walk up the hill at the other restaurant.
