My family and I stayed in Canada for three days and we went to Bill Peyto’s cafe twice because it was so good. Between the two meals and six people in my family, we managed to order 11 different things off the menu and we were not disappointed with anything. Everyone in my family thought the French fries were the best we’ve ever had. We also loved the cheeseburgers, pasta, and Reuben sandwich. Both times we went there they had a lot of people waiting but they were very efficient at getting tables ready and didn’t have to wait long. Despite the crowd, our family of six never had to wait long at all for our meals once we had ordered. The very best part of Bill Peyto’s cafe was our waitress, Linda. She was such a nice, funny, and personable waitress. We came back the second time hoping she would be our waitress again and she was. She recognized us, asked about our trip, and answered any questions we had about the menu. She is the true gem of Bill Peyto’s cafe!!

your customer service is awful ,no take out , and i am not even allowed to eat on your outdoor tables , why did u even bother opening a restaurant , was it just to piss people off because u are doing a great job at it , after i buy your food i can do whatever i want with it , so take out not allowed , beautiful day today and not allowed to eat outside and your tables ,wow u should sell and leave someone that actually cares about customers run the place because clearly u don't care about your customers ,what an awful restaurant..

Very good group experience at the Cafe. Showed up unannouced with a group of 9 during the busy months of summer. Location can be tricky to find but worth the search. Food and service were awesome, and we also relaxed in the lounge chairs of the hotel after our big meal !

There are two vegan options on the menu: aloo Gobi and vegan wings. We ordered both and they both tasted great. The wings came in a buffalo sauce with vegan ranch dressing. Really friendly service.
It was really great. After a long day with a hike we found this place. We got really good food, the staff was very friendly and the prices for Lake Louise absolutely reasonable.
We really enjoyed our visit.

My husband and I stayed in Lake Louise village for our trip and were struggling with places to eat dinner. I figured we should at least give this place a try and I am so glad we did. Extremely reasonable pricing, amazing food, quick service and friendly staff.

We visited Bill Peyto Café today and had a great experience. We ordered the Aloo Gobhi, which came as a complete meal with naan bread, dal, and curry. The portion size was generous, and the flavors were authentic and comforting.
We also tried the Crispy Chicken Korean Burger — it was delicious! Perfectly crispy, flavorful, and definitely worth the price.
Overall, a satisfying meal and great value for money. Would happily return!

Despite having vegan mayo, veggie burger is NOT vegan as the bun has an egg wash (props to the server for knowing this!). They have a few other options; I would have liked to try the vegan wings. I got the aloo gobi; fairly bland. The menu seems to change fairly regularly so could be better soon!
We came in just before 7pm and they seated us. Not sure if the hours on google are accurate. The server accommodated adding chicken to aloo goobi dish. Butter chicken was delicious. Prices were reasonable. Kid menu options.

Perfect dinner after a full day exploring Moraine Lake & Lake Louise
We enjoyed a relaxed and satisfying dinner at Bill Peyto’s Café after a day visiting the two stunning lakes. The atmosphere was warm and rustic, a perfect fit for unwinding after time in the mountains.
We ordered a variety of dishes: the cheeseburger with Broccoli‑Cheese Soup of the Day, Penne Marinara, the Crispy Chicken Parmesan Burger, and the Jalapeño Burger. They offer an optional upgrade to an Alberta bison patty for an extra $3, though we stuck with the regular patties.
One highlight was that water was served freely - and it tasted fresh, not chlorinated. That really impressed us! The portion sizes were generous relative to the price, and overall we felt the quality and quantity offered excellent value - great price‑performance for the Lake Louise area.
Service was friendly and efficient - they handled everything with a smile. We appreciated the cozy mountain‑style decor and the casual, welcoming vibe; clearly a local favorite among hikers and visitors alike.
All in all, a terrific dinner spot after a long day outdoors. Friendly staff, hearty meals, and fair pricing - highly recommended!

Went here because it is ranked one of the top “take out” places in lake Louise on google, then arrive to find no take out signs all over the entrance to the restaurant. Was looking for take out because I have two toddlers and three dogs travelling with me. Asked for a seat outside and was told the patio was closed because it was raining (it was not raining). I offered to wipe the table down myself, this offer was refused. Eventually after a long lecture from one of the staff members they agreed to seat us outside, we had to wait 25 mins while they seated six parties behind us first to make their point about how significantly we were inconveniencing them. Took another 25 minutes before we could order food, which then arrived after about 15 minutes. The burger was good but the house salad was slimy and rotten and served with no salad dressing. When this was pointed out to the server she argued and said the dressing was mixed in, then said it was served on the side (it was not either of these things). Asked for the bill when the food arrived and needed to ask again because it never showed up, then took another 25 mins to get the bill. Chocolate milk served for children in tall glass cups in an outdoor patio, not a good idea. Furthermore they proceeded to seat other parties on the patio after us with no arguments or problems. Seems like they have a real hate on for young families and dogs. This is probably fine for two adults with no dogs and no small kids but honestly I wouldn’t recommend and I won’t be heading back anytime soon, not worth it to be lectured and treated so badly.

Solid stop for a bite in the mountains!
Dropped by Bill Peyto’s Cafe after a day of exploring and ordered the burger — nothing fancy, but it hit the spot. Juicy, satisfying, and just what I needed after some fresh mountain air.
The vibe is laid-back and cozy, perfect for travelers or campers passing through. Not the best burger I’ve ever had, but definitely a decent one, and I’d come back to try more from the menu. Great place for a chill meal in a beautiful setting!
