Good news: perfect place to have brunch on a beautiful day
Bad news: the place is closed for the season, according to a hotel staff
The restaurant is a bit understaffed, took more than 10 mins to get my bill and that will be my only complaint. Pricy, yes, cocktail is double the price of a normal bar and expect to spend up to 100 each if you want a good meal plus some drink. BUT all is worth it with the millions dollar view. I was happy the whole time. Food was good, staffs were friendly. Everything was great. Personally I would love to get back every year (which I did this year, unfortunately the place is closed, so maybe better call to reserve a table before coming? Don’t make my mistake)

Such a wonderful breakfast. The wonderful welcoming and friendly staffs made a great first impression.
The menu is simple for ordering but it is plenty to choose from for hot breakfast. They also have cold breakfast included which has all you need. Lots of pastries selections.
Lots of fruit juices to select from as well.
The hot breakfast included is very well presented and plated. They were all delicious. Highly recommend and a stunning view as well.

Our server, Andrea, was so welcoming and provided great recommendations! The food was delicious and the negroni had the extra oomph. Beautiful views are a given.
The host on the other hand was difficult from the beginning. She violated many laws from the time she didn’t want to seat us, questioned how much we would spend there, and kept coming to pester us after we had finally been seated. The first interaction shouldn’t be this unpleasant. If we had walked away because of her, we wouldn’t have had the opportunity to let Andrea turn our experience around.

The food was excellent, and the waitstaff were all very pleasant and accommodating. However, I was quite disappointed by the attitude of one staff member, a lady with long black hair wearing a coat.
My daughter was having a small tantrum, so I asked a waitress if she could stand on the long bench beneath the large window to look at the view and calm down. The waitress kindly said yes. A few minutes later, I sat there too while holding my daughter, and after we paid our bill, one of my friends sat there as we waited for another to return.
That’s when the lady approached us and told us, in a sharp and condescending tone, that the area wasn’t for sitting. She spoke loudly enough for nearby guests to hear, which was quite embarrassing. I calmly mentioned that I had asked permission earlier, but she replied with a firm “no” and walked away.
It wasn’t just what she said, but how she said it. It was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. Having worked as a manager myself, I understand how such situations should be handled, which is discreetly and respectfully, particularly when guests are not causing any disruption.
I’ve always had wonderful experiences with customer service in Banff, and it’s disappointing that this happened at the Fairmont, where hospitality is usually exceptional.
Food is edible at best. For the price point the food is below average but the service and the views are nice and conveniently located. Overall a tourist trap but convenient

We were paying customers turned away to eat after a confirmed reservation. Don’t bother coming here, they are the only place to eat in an hour vicinity and they knew my food condition but still the manager said no. Disgusting.

Our experience at Louiza, Fairmont Lake Louise was unacceptable. We were very kind, respectful, and waited patiently for over 30 minutes for an inside table, only to be placed outside in the sun. The seating solution we were offered was insulting, two separate tables, one a high bar style table and the other a regular dining table.
From the very start, Tommy Roxas’s staff displayed unprofessional arrogance, making us feel unwelcome and disrespected but we ignored and continued with a smile. His demeanor set the tone, and his hosts matched his rudeness. This was not just poor service, it was a complete disregard for guest experience.
Two members of our party are hotel owners, Harold Hotel and The Reef Resort Condotel, and fully understand the standards of good, mediocre, and bad service. What we received here did not even qualify as below bad.
For a world class property, this was shocking. Fairmont should never allow someone like Tommy Roxas (and some of his staff) to represent their brand.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Louiza!
As walk-in guests, we weren’t able to sit on the patio since it’s reserved for hotel guests, which is completely understandable. The staff were very welcoming and courteous, making us feel comfortable seated by the window with a nice view of Lake Louise.
The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, with a bar and a station where it looked like the chefs had access to gourmet salads, very cool! Our server, Antoinne, was fantastic, friendly, accommodating, and attentive to all our needs, ensuring we had a great experience.
The food was delicious, and to be honest, the prices were similar to restaurants outside the hotel, so it wasn’t too expensive at all. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and highly recommended!

It was our first time visiting, and tried getting a table on the patio to be able to enjoy the view. Even though half of the patio was empty, we were told those tables were for hotel guests only, the only availability being for tables inside.
We decided to go for it since it was our only food with partial view option. What a disappointment! We were sat behind a pillar, barely any view. Top dollar prices for just an average experience. The cocktails and service were good, but food was mediocre. If I’m paying $30 for a ham and cheese sandwich, I’m expecting at least a view to make up for it. The bar service was slow, but our server made up for the long wait.
If you’re looking for enjoying a meal with a view, you’re better off grabbing a sandwich and drink at the coffee shop and having it by the lake. For a third or quarter of the price!
We were expecting a little bit more from a luxury resort I guess! Fairmont Banff Springs on the other hand was spectacular!

Lake Louise area is always packed in the summer but the restaurants were ok. I went for a hike and just needed some food/drink replenishment before returning to Banff. Louiza didn't req'd reservations and there was no waiting for a table inside. It was empty. My meal was simple and delicious. A tad overpriced but no surprise, it's lake Louise! I love the emptiness having just returned from Japan where talking in public was frowned upon. 👍👍. The server was gracious. Food was fine. Plenty of water in a nice blue glass jar. The delicious latte completed the quick meal.
