Great little tavern style restaurant with awesome servers and a relaxed vibe. It was not noisy at all and the food was delicious. We had the bison poutine fries and the tomato soup with grilled cheese. The poutine was so good and delicious. Literally everyone was ordering it.
Great food and service! I ordered two pizzas and nachos to feed my hungry, exhausted family after a long day of travel. My kids wanted to order more pizza when we’d finished because they liked it so much. Our waitress was really nice and came back to check on us in spite of being really busy with many tables.

Food and service were outstanding. My group (of 5) just went in for a drink and light snacks to hold us over for dinner. We ended up having amazing drinks. eating a beautiful spread of appetizers and a delicious salad that I will remember forever. So happy we stopped as it ended up being the highlight meal of the day.

We had the absolute pleasure of being served by Desmond tonight at The Outpost in Lake Louise, and he truly made our evening memorable. From the moment we sat down, he was warm, kind, and welcoming, instantly making us feel at home—even though we were far from it.
Desmond was not only professional and personable, but also extremely accommodating and attentive. He listened to our stories from the day, shared some laughs with us, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. His prompt service, thoughtful attention, and genuine care stood out right away.
On top of that, his menu recommendations were spot-on—we left feeling both well-fed and well taken care of. It’s rare to find someone who strikes the perfect balance between being down-to-earth and professional, but Desmond did exactly that.
If you’re dining here, you’ll be lucky to have him as your server. He turned a simple dinner into a truly special experience.

Start off your meal with a port old fashioned that is well crafted. Friendly service and the water glasses were kept full. Stroganoff was tender and seasoned just right. Bison poutine was nice and meaty and nachos were their own twist with a few cheeses. Cooked just enough in the salamander. Salad was very good with good variety of leafs and the candied nuts were a good contrast.

We just visited the pub today, as an Asian couple, the bartender was really nice and friendly, kudos on him and the pub interior vibe.
However, our waitress on the other hand, just ignored us. She was talking with our neighbouring table for 30mins about Columbia and Banff … and at the time the bar was really empty including us just five table. we waived at our waitress she ignored us. Also the other table were also feeling a bit uncomfortable that she keeps ignoring us. Not sure why this is happening. But this is not acceptable I will post this experience on other platform as well.
Please train your staff not be so rude.

Hector’s Burger was awesome! Best burger I have had in years. Pizza was great. The blueberry crumble with ice cream was a perfect dessert. Our server Samantha was delightful. Looking forward to coming back.
