Absolutely stunning location and building, both building and guests well taken care of by helpful and welcoming staff. We did a gold stay, and can say at this Fairmont, it was worth the price point, we had a truly unforgettable stay. Grounds are kept private and are extremely peaceful and well-manicured. Was a wonderful place to relax after our wedding. We most enjoyed the fondue dinner at Walliser Stube and the sunrise canoe experience.

Terrible experience. The staff here are unbelievably rude, it’s not worth your time or money. Skip this place entirely and head downstairs to Louisa instead, where you’ll find better food, better coffee, and infinitely better service.

Very good pastries and pretty good coffee. Very expensive but it’s your only option in the middle of nowhere. I’d definitely get the pastries again

Yes it is expensive but food quality is also great. Prime location make this coffee special! Snadwich price vs food not matches!

I would like to thank the staff at Chateau Lake Louise for resolving a problem I had with the room our tour company assigned us. We have mobility issues and needed a room that was closer to the restaurants. They were able to get me into the main part of the hotel with a full lake view. We were there for three nights and this made our stay! I am a loyalty member and maybe that helped. Customer service goes above and beyond. One of the restaurants asked if we wanted to take our leftovers and offered to have a microwave sent up to our room! Outstanding in every way. Thanks so much!

Super rip off.
I took a picture of those tiny bags of chips, $5 each, for reference. Everything here is like this.

Amazing view for lunch, but the options weren't great! The only vegan sandwich was a $16 peanut butter and jelly, which was very basic and small for the amount paid! Other options vegetables cruidtes but couldn't see if it even has a dip for it, chia pudding and a blueberry muffins that was also gluten free. Updated from previous review on 2025-07-15

Got the brisket burrito for $20, and it was one of the worst meals I’ve eaten. It was cold and had barely any meat. Most of the inside was just rice. The few bites of meat inside was just ground beef.

Worst hotel experience. I have stayed at Fairmont hotels on over a dozen occasions and normally love their service and professionalism, to the point of recommending them to others. The Fairmont Lake Louise deeply disappointed on this occasion. The staff were rude, and one of our party was denied entry with a six month old baby during a rain storm and told to change them at the public washrooms because they were not staying at the hotel. This would be horrible behaviour for any hotel, but from a Fairmont property is truly shocking. I will be reconsidering my future stays at Fairmont properties after this experience at Fairmont Lake Louise.

Easy grab and go with vegan selections! There was a vegan burrito, muffin, veggies, fruit, grain/salad bowl, and a chia parfait at different times of the day and coffee drinks with non-dairy options. It's worth stopping in if you need a quick bite. Updated from previous review on 2025-06-13

I enjoyed The Guide's Pantry throughout the years. It's a nice option from the sit-down restaurants in the hotel.

There's a lot of quick meals to pack for a hike. I do see the issues others have pointed out regarding the restrooms. It's unfortunate that things have changed so much from years ago.

Yep, it super expensive, but that's what I expect to get a decent hot beverage and a tasty pastry in the middle of nowhere!

They have a good selection of hot beverages, and pastries. Made my London Fog, little lavender, little vanilla, extra foam, with care and attention. The scone was also good to.

Not lots of places to sit, and the bathrooms are only available to hotel guests. They are not interested in having people hang out like a typical coffee shop.

Okay. You are the Fairmont. You don’t want the normal people shake up your guest. But you are the only place around and lots of dayguests will need a coffee or a cold pop. And without any other place to choose from you can make lots of $$$

So you set up a little store in the last corner of your building. Offering Crossaints, coffee, pop and some more for really high prices.

And to make your customers feel not welcome, you put a sign at the entrance that tells the unwanted customers with there wanted money that they please may leave asap.

But to see the light in all this darkness: the staff is attentive, helpful and nice overall. The coffee is strong and hot and the drinks are cold.

So overall, if you come here like me with nothing but trail food and water, you are the one to blame. And if so, hop in, grab a cold drink and enjoy it. After all, you are at one of the best known lakes in the world and in the most wonderful country as well.
