Not only extremely expensive but also horrid quality

If you enjoy paying top dollar for small portion sizes and tasteless food, this is your spot. Staff are overwhelmed and unwilling / not enabled to help as demonstrated by the numerous other reviews.

Chicken noodle soup with barely any chicken. $9 is ripped off even considering this is a tourist spot.
(edit: turns out you are still a "visitor" even if you purchase food/drinks in the shop, and you are not welcome to stay at the corridor)

Cafe and food are just fine. It's the bathrooms that absolutely annoyed me. Where do they expect people to use the restroom if it's locked up? There is literally NOTHING else near by except for the putrid, stinky and unsanitary dumpers in the parking lot. Warning to anyone coming here, be prepared to hold it in and don't expect any help from the snobby hotel staff. If paying $1000 / night wasn't enough to make you throw up, you can't even take a pee.

Do not bring the elderly here especially - I sat here watching old person after old person wanting to use the bathrooms. It's just so depressing and a violation to human rights. Get your act together Fairmont

For closing down the washrooms, if I could give you 0 stars I would. This is completely unacceptable. You guys want everyone's business however are not even willing to accommodate washrooms? I've never been to a coffee shop that doesn't offer washrooms. Completely unacceptable. All your food and drinks are overpriced.

We tried three pastries (chocolatine, cheese croissant, and a cheese and spinach pastry), and all were a complete disappointment. The cheese and filling were practically nonexistent, and the pastries felt like they came straight from the freezer. At $9 each, it was a total rip-off.

To make matters worse, the staff was condescending and unwelcoming. Despite being paying customers, we were denied access to the restroom. When we asked if we could sit somewhere, we were told they were closing in an hour — as if having a coffee and a pastry would take that long or inconvenience their 10 a.m. closing.

Absolutely not worth the money or the attitude. Never coming back!

Far Below Fairmont Standards – A Disastrous Experience

As a frequent visitor to Fairmont properties, I have always been impressed by the impeccable service and high-quality food. Naturally, we chose to stop at Fairmont Lake Louise for a bite to eat. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement.

When we approached the counter to ask if there was a seating area where we could enjoy our sandwiches, the response was curt: “We close in an hour.” As if ordering a coffee and a sandwich would somehow delay their closing process! Immediately after, we were coldly told there were no seats available. Fine. We decided to eat outside.

Next, I headed to the restrooms located to the right of the café, only to find them locked. When I asked the staff member if I could use them, her response was that the restrooms were “not open to the public.” Let me clarify something: when we purchase goods, we are customers, not random passersby. Refusing restroom access to paying customers is unacceptable. Her suggestion? Walk 16 minutes outside to find another facility. Does Fairmont Lake Louise really not have the resources to keep restrooms open for its guests? In all my experiences, I have never been denied access to restrooms after making a purchase.

To top it all off, the pastries were mediocre at best — frozen-quality fare more suited to Starbucks than to a Fairmont property.

In summary, this was a complete failure, far beneath the Fairmont standard. I would not recommend this experience to anyone.

The staff was very thoughtful and the view was one of a kind. They are very kind to upgrade my room and would never forget our stay there.

After a hike around Lake Louise, it's good to relax to a Salted caramel hot chocolate with a chocolate twist and a chocolate chip cookie. Everything was del8cioys. Staff was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was relaxed.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough!! From couple of days before our stay and up to the end, they made us feel welcomed and taken care of! Celtie, our concierge was always helpful. Additionally, they upgraded our room and we had a fabulous view of Lake Louise. We’ll definitely be coming back here!

The gouging of tourists is incredible here! $8 for a pain au chocolat?!?! $7.50 for a scone? And nearly $6 for a drip coffee??
And then you want a tip, starting at 18 % on top of all that?!

This is ludicrous. Be better.

It's the Fairmont, near the lake, open to tourists, of course it will be crowded. But the coffee is soo good! The vanilla oat milk latte is the perfect balance of nutty, sweet, and a hint of chocolate. They use a special oat milk that we don't have in the States. Grab a higher price, pay for the view while being warm inside, you can't go wrong! Oh yea, they don't want you to sit in the corridor, even though the grates at the window sill/seating serves as a butt warmer..
