We went the Joey’s Fish Shack on the 21st April and it was not worth paying $60.00 as the service was lousy, food wasn’t the best. Won’t go there again!

Avoid this place like it has an STD. Eww. Unless you want to get food poisoning and end up in the hospital, like my friend's mum did. Because of this, I'm not even going to review this garbage dump. Risk your life or die. Place needs to be investigated by Alberta Food Inspection authorities. How sloppy of a cook and cleaner do you have to be, to poison your customers? Gross. Serving slop only fit for pigs. I'd rather starve than eat here. Be warned foodies. Very dangerous place to eat here. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID this restaurant!

Great food quality and everyone is extremely hospitable ! We had such a lovely time here , and our waitress Kaily was so lovely ! Highly recommend this Joeys location for a good bite !

My husband went and picked up an order of fish and chips last night… I rarely ever give reviews but I must today… They were the worst fish and chips we’ve ever had in our 65/75 years! So very disappointing… There was NO fish at all!!! The pieces were less than 2” wide !! We measured them… I’m including a picture… My husband wanted to head right back and if it were not for having to babysit our grandsons… we would have…!Needless to say we won’t be going again… and that’s sad because growing up in the Maritimes we love Fish and Chips!

The renovation is very nice and was much needed. We like the higher booth,feels a little more private. I ordered the shrimp quesadilla ,it was bland and on the cold side. Wasn’t impressed with it ,won’t get that again. My wife ordered the street tacos which she usually loves but they also where on the cold side and not as tasty has had been in the past. Seemed like it took longer than usual to get our food

We went to Joey’s after the new renovations, and were pleasantly surprised by the uplifting and attractive decor!We ordered calamari and clam chowder for appetizers, and both were excellent.We had the fish sandwich and chicken sandwich as mains. The plating is innovative, if a bit restrictive.The meals were good enough, but the buns were a tad burnt, and the brown rice a wee bit dry.For desserts, we ordered the non-baked lemon cheesecake and the deconstructed carrot cake. Both ideas promised more than what was delivered, mind you.Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. We will go again

Since renovation, I’ve only done take out but it looks great at the Lethbridge location. Fish is always light and crispy! Even with take out, just a few minutes in air fryer and fish n chips are “kitchen fresh” again.Great staff too.Parking: Ample parking at strip mall location
