Dairy Queen Grill & Chill

I’m really disappointed with the experience we had tonight. I normally love this Dairy Queen and have had great service in the past, but this visit was unacceptable.

We arrived around 30 minutes before closing and placed our order. We were totally fine with eating outside to be respectful of closing time, but after waiting quite a while with no update, we went to the till to check. The girl working (white, brown hair, probably early 20s) brought out the food. Then, she forgot the drink. When we politely asked for it, she looked irritated and acted like we were bothering her.

We then asked for plum sauce and got even more attitude—no effort to make the interaction pleasant, just obvious frustration from her. She made it clear that she didn’t want to deal with us. As we were leaving and said thank you, she snapped, “We close in ten minutes,” with attitude, even though the delay was on their end. Not ours.

To make matters worse, my grandfather had gone to the washroom before we left, and they locked the doors without checking. When he let himself out, the same employee stormed over, threw down her cloth, and slammed the door shut, and locked the door again, clearly angry that he had to exit a building she locked early (2 minutes before closing)

The food was fine, but the service was the worst I’ve experienced here. There was no professionalism, no courtesy, and zero respect shown to us as customers. If this is the kind of attitude being tolerated by employees, it needs to be addressed. This kind of behaviour is not okay.

The bathrooms need a professional and thorough cleaning. Every time I walk in the whole restaurant smells like a sewer 🤮

They don’t flip their blizzards. Caught them red handed

My favourite Dairy Queen location in town always very friendly staff and has a nice retro vibe. I used to frequent the location a lot more and when I was in high school one of the owners, Mike even gave me a free meal. Great customer service!

May 16th 2025 @exactly 3:37 pm,we ordered treats for 4 people and the lady at the drive thru window handing the orders,asian probably filipino was kinda rude for no reason,maybe because we were not fast enough to take our orders? Just a sour face and not happy doing her job..why not just quit!😡

Hmmm ice cream!!!

Bathroom had pee all over the floor, no toilet paper, tables were suffocating. Save yourself the time, go down the street to the other Dairy Queen by Walmart. This is also all at 8:30pm on a Thursday mind you.

This is the location to go to if you're going to go to a Dairy Queen in Medicine Hat. Very clean and well run operation with friendly and welcoming employees.

Polite easy going employees. Good food. Nice and quiet in the evenings...beautiful

The chicken burger I just ordered is way over cooked, the lettuce is gross, tomato looks like it was pulled out the garbage and very little, if any, mayo. I can believe this is what you are trying to pass a food and for such a ridiculous price. Absolutely disgusting!!!!!

My daughter’s blizzard was very soupy today! I should have asked for the free blizzard when they had lids on them and the guy didn’t do the upside down check we thought that was weird but I was being too polite. Sat down and it was blizzard soup so my kids went back to get a new one and were refused. The guy would not give them another or at least honour the DQ policy of a free blizzard if they don’t turn them upside down.
