Refuse to patronize a business that refuses cash payment...the implifications of a full digital currency society are not in our best interests. Going to shop Redcliffe Bakery, being new to Medicine Hat, I will not support any business that has gone cashless.

I'm rather picky about baked goods. Tim Horton's stopped having real bakers in their stores so I stopped having their doughnuts. The grocery store bakeries nowadays are not great.....this bakery had some different and actually good baked goods. Not gourmet baked goods but I immediately wanted to try some and they were to my taste.

So rating, I will say high 4 star into 5 stars but not gourmet just excellent goodies to my taste.

The people there are very pleasant. I have enjoyed the Turtles from McBrides for as long as I can remember. I don't even mind paying the exorbitant amount they charge for them, however, shrinking the size of them, that is too much.

Stepping into the bakery reminds me of the old times, when everyone was in the kitchen, helping to prepare the family meal. At the back bakers are working to keep the racks stacked with a variety of delicatessen, fresh breads of all sorts and some frozen dough, pies and soups in the freezer.

In the front are knowledgeable, friendly staff who slice bread according to preferences, make helpful suggestions and at the checkout your phone number entered for collecting points.

The morning buns, apple fritters, cinnamon twists, lemon squares are favourites and big bakes — large enough for two to share! Do try the beef and chicken Jamaican pies and sausage rolls. Simply delicious. Most also freeze well- ask in store for reheating suggestions.

The donuts are colourful and varied, see how a dozen of them disappear after a soccer / basketball match. Be the team’s hero ‍♀️

They don’t take cash for whatever reason, and use plenty of paper bags. I now bring my own clean containers and bread bag with. Bakeries sometimes sell the cotton bags for bread and it might be worth for the owner looking into for environmentally friendly alternatives.

It would also be lovely if the bakery could consider selling South African rusks.

Thanks for the great produce and welcoming atmosphere !

The brown sourdough is to die for. No chemicals used. There every week for a fresh loaf. Be sure to sign up for their rewards program, it's worth it.

I was surprised to see the mural they had on the wall when I was paying had I noticed earlier I would’ve just left. It peaked my interest so I looked up the Facebook page the political view they promote on a business page is crazy! I would never go back there again.

Promoters of degeneracy, would prefer to light my money on fire than give them a dime. Aside from that it appears to be filthy. They should focus more on cleanliness and less on pushing their ideology onto patrons.
