Made a reservation here on a whim, and wow – what a great choice! From the warm, friendly voice on the phone taking the reservation to the exceptional service in person, everything about this place impressed me. We went on Steak & Lobster night (Thursday), and what an amazing deal. The food was absolutely delicious and such great value. A big shoutout to Jenni, our fantastic server, who made us feel so welcome and really made the night special. The whole staff was friendly and attentive. I’ll definitely be stopping here again the next time I’m in Medicine Hat!

Food was great and service was excellent. The only reason I dropped the Atmosphere down a star is the curtain was open into the bar. For the $$ you pay for the great food. I think the bar side should be out of sight

Travelled through for an event from BC, heard Ralph’s was the place to be so we went for a drink. The atmosphere was so welcoming and kind, our server was Mackenzie was absolutely phenomenal! Service was fast and efficient, she was so kind, funny and sweet. We will definitely be back again!

Recently moved back here and decided to try out Ralphs one evening. It was crazy busy and we actually sat down outside because it was so full. Saying that we got service right away and our waitress was doing a great job considering how busy it was. Hubby had the wings he said they were tasty, but my beef dip was hands down one of the best I have had! The gravy wasn't great but no complaints. We will definitely be back

We came here after a 12-hour workday, starving, and called ahead to make sure the kitchen was fully open until 2:00 AM. The answer was a clear “yes.”
We arrived before midnight, ordered after 12 even got recommendations from the waitress (who’s been working there since November!) for main dishes – only to be told after placing our order that the kitchen “only serves appetizers after midnight.”
When we approached the manager, Barry, expecting an apology or at least accountability, we were met with arrogance, disrespect, and zero customer care. Instead of owning up to the situation, he dismissed us as if we were the problem.
We wasted our time, ended up paying for drinks we didn’t even touch, and felt completely disrespected – despite checking ahead to avoid exactly this kind of issue.
If this is the way the manager treats guests, this place has a serious problem. Barry should not be in a management position – he doesn’t know how to deliver service, show respect, or handle a situation professionally.

We called ahead to confirm that the kitchen would be open until 2AM. Based on that, I left my hotel specifically to dine here. We arrived well before midnight. The service was slow from the start — no one approached us for a long time, and when a server finally did, she took our full order and served our drinks.

Then, out of nowhere, the same server came back and informed us that the manager had just implemented a “new rule” that no food orders are allowed after midnight — even though we had already ordered, were sitting with drinks, and had received full confirmation that the kitchen was open.

None of the staff, including the server who has apparently worked there since November, had any clue about this so-called rule. The level of disorganization was absurd.

But what truly shocked me was the manager’s behavior — rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Instead of offering any apology or solution, he spoke to us with complete disrespect.

As someone who owns multiple businesses across Canada, I’ve never in my life experienced such poor treatment. This was not just disappointing — it was insulting. I would never return here and strongly advise others to avoid this place if you expect even basic standards of service and respect.

Absolutely disgraceful experience. We came to this restaurant hungry and excited, having called in advance to confirm that the kitchen would be open until 2 AM. We were told clearly that it would be. We arrived before midnight, were seated, handed full menus, and placed a full order with our server. Only after all that did she come back and say, “There’s a new rule – after midnight only appetizers are served.”

No one told us this upfront. Not when we called. Not when we were seated. Not even when we ordered. According to our server (who has apparently worked there since November), this was the first time she’d ever heard of this “rule,” and it was something her manager “Berry” had just said. So not only was it unprofessional, it felt totally improvised – like we were being brushed off for no reason.

When we tried to get clarification, Berry was dismissive, cold, and frankly, disrespectful. It was clear we were not being treated fairly. Given the way we were spoken to, and the fact that other tables didn’t seem to be facing this issue, it started to feel personal – like maybe we were being judged for our accent or background.

We left hungry, disrespected, and deeply disappointed. If you care about being treated with basic courtesy, transparency, and respect – go somewhere else.

The food was so good. The waitress did not tell us the specials. We would have gotten the special instead of spending 3x as much. We both had steak, and the special was steak and lobster. The special was 26.99 and our steak dinner was over 50 dollars each. The special was no where to be seen. Not even with our menu.
