The coffee was great, the croissant was on the pricey side. $22 for two small americanos and a ham & cheese croissant. Once the tip was on it came to about $26.
We were also taken back a little by the request for tips, yet our order was just called out. We were sitting right there, so it was a quick get up (not the end of the world) but when a request for tip is made, the least that is expected is a service to tip, know what I mean? If I wanted walk up coffee I would have just gone to Tim Hortons, where I don’t tip.
And if it’s a matter of your employees making a liveable wage, perhaps they should be paid better.

I am visitor here in Medicine Hat. As I was exploring the city, I found this cafe. I had Banana cake and coffee and I must say I am really impressed ❤️ Best banana cake I had so far. The quality and quantity both are upto the mark. The staff was friendly and ambience is very cheerful ?

Stopped in for a latte, americano and a breakfast bun on our way through Medicine Hat. Wow! Coffee was delicious and the breakfast bun spectacular. Our choice had Boursin cheese, bacon, egg and other delicious bits. Highly recommend! We'll be back!

4 of us went to have coffees and baked goods on Saturday afternoon. My wife is Lactose intolerant, and ordered her coffee with Lactose free milk (as always), or she will become violently ill. We recieved our order and sat down to visit. After the first sip, she knew something was amiss.She checked her till receipt ($53) and there was no indication of Lactose free milk being substituted. She began to get nauseous and took her cup to the young serving waitress whom had a black torque and braids and asked if her drink was made without Lactose milk. She said it wasn't, no apologies or taking responsibility for the error.My wife then requested if she could have her money back for the coffee which she couldnt drink, and the server said "no sorry, credit or gift card only".Really? Your server and made her ill and she can't get her cash back? Ok.No problems, we won't return to support your shop again as there's 4 or 5 others available in town, ZB's, Cafe Verve, Crumbles, to name but a few.
