I’ve eaten a TON of sushi in my life, in numerous cities across Canada. After every first bite, I always think, “it’s not Sushi Miso.” This sushi restaurant has held that top spot going on 15 years, and I don’t expect it to change any time soon.

I’ve used this sushi place before and always had a good experience, but today was very disappointing. I expected better quality. The sushi fell apart easily, and the rice seemed poorly cooked and low quality—not the kind of rice typically used for sushi. Won’t recommend!

I was only staying in town for one night, and was hoping for a sushi dinner. I found this place on maps, it was only a five or six minute drive for me. I ordered in advance and the lady was very kind on the phone. they are currently doing pick up/take out Service only. Their salmon is excellent. Rice almost perfect. The BC roll was a little too crispy for my liking but it still tasted delicious and I ate the whole thing. I really found a gem here! Highly recommend.
You’re probably not an experienced enough sushi, consumer, to order with the tact, and consideration to get what you want.
Vegetarian options: I can’t really say much about vegetarian food, I’m not sure I really understand the concept

Generous/delicious portions. Seriously the size of the fish pieces were like double what I have seen at other restaurants. Would have been 5 stars but we were disappointed that the sushi and sashimi combo no longer comes with miso soup. Additionally, the prices posted by the restaurant do not have accurate prices. Overall, I would absolutely recommend a visit, but the restaurant should update their google maps menu!

I would give this place a 5 star rating....however it only gets a 2. Why you ask? Their opening hours are an absolute joke. One weekend they are closed...the next they are open. Unfortunately we are an hour out of town and are not able to see the note stuck on the front door. The phone message says they are closed today..so ok we make alternative arrangements.This is not a one off experience..this happens on a regular basis. Too bad we can't count on them to leave more detailed messages. Very very frustrating.Now their food..when they are open, is absolutley the best sushi in Med Hat. Great portions and well presented and packaged.Again too bad for the irregular hours.
