Waitress was very poor . Messed up order ( fixed it ) got our food and never seen her again untill food was gone . Didn't check to see if everything was OK. Never refilled drinks or water untill after we were done eating . Place was empty maybe 8 people so no excuse of being busy . Expect a bit more when paying these prices

The portions are a lot smaller than they were with the old owner and the prices are high, not worth it.

Overall...clean, organized, friendly dining...my $39 roast beef meal was just average, the beef was very dry even though it was smothered in gravy. My partner did not really enjoy his $42 veal cordon bleau! Both of these meals were comparable to average dining somewhere else at a more reasonable cost!

Great food with large size amounts. The service was excellent and the atmosphere is relaxing. An overall great experience. We will definitely be coming back when we pass through MH again.

Walking into this establishment is basically walking back in time where interior is the quintessential old school steakhouse. It's tastefully decorated with wood and glass, and the ambiance is quite so you can actually have a pleasant conversation without having to yell over top of the background noise. I had one of the nicest prime rib dinners and my wife had a great beef neptune. Portions are very generous. Our server was very attentive without hovering. If I am ever back in Medicine Hat this privately owned establishment will be my go to steakhouse.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at the Beefeater. Our experience was splendid from the beginning to the end. Our hostess and server were very attentive and made sure our evening was memorable. We both had the Salmon Neptune with a starter salad which was nicely presented, fresh and delicious. The serving sizes were more than enough. We topped off our evening with in-house made strawberry cheesecake which was light,fluffy and delicious. All in all, we very pleased with our evening and will definitely return in the future. A very nice experience for a special occasion!

The service and food were outstanding. The best Beef Neptune I've ever had, lots of crab and a tasty tender filet. We had five people in our group and we all loved our meals.

I had surgery on my knee on Tuesday and we went to the Beefeater hit dinner. The staff was fantastic, good exceptional and would drive from Calgary again just for this experience. Thank you!

We used to love this steakhouse, but our anniversary dinner was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. First, we were told the prime rib was “cooked to order,” which makes me question if the new owners even understand what prime rib is. I opted for the ribeye instead, but what I got was barely edible—comparable to a $5 steak sandwich. The waitress was far from pleasant, and after I raised a concern, she never returned to our table. We ordered an appetizer that never arrived. The manager tried to lecture me about what a ribeye is, despite my lifelong experience as a rancher who’s enjoyed countless rib steaks. To top it off, their once-amazing cheesecake was stale, crusty, and tasted like it had been left uncovered in a fridge for days. This was the opposite of fine dining. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It’s heartbreaking to see our former favorite restaurant decline so drastically.

Edit, the owner states this was a misunderstanding, we asked for clarification when we were ordering and the waitress insisted “that’s how we do it here” and even the manager said prime rib was cooked to order using the same “that’s how we do it here” line which doesn’t even make sense.

It was our Anniversary and I want to take my wife to a special place. The Beefeater Steakhouse seemed a little pricy. But but the portions you get are a good size. And they were delicious. The service was great. And it was refreshing to see the female staff there were dressed modestly. All those good things are hard to find. Excellent place. I will have to try their lunch menu one day.
